Dugan - N/A injured
Gray - 4 Not a first grader but not our worst.
Xerri - 5
Morris - 6 Looks like he gives a s*** this guy is a pro
Feki - 2 One of his worst games ever. Used to burst out of dummy half in our own end now he doesn't
Johnson - 5 Had a couple of great moments to balance out the dog shit
Townsend - 4 LOL at throwing his hat in the ring for Origin
Fifita - 7 Big dog tried hard but had to cover for too many bums in defence
Brayley - 4 Uninspired
Woods - 5
Nikora - 3 Seemed to miss about 10 tackles, disgraceful. Flick to Capes was good
Capewell - 4 Also missed many tackles
Prior - 4 Has he retired already?

Williams - 4 Poor miss
Bakuya - 4
Hamlin-Uele 5
B Brayley 2 Barely did anything

Nope.

A lot of those guys turned up tonite to have a real dig.
But being on the backfoot due to constant penalties creates frustration. Frustration compounds into errors.

SJ was damn good tonite in defence and attack.

We have a couple of bums in prior and bakuya.
Priors drops put us under pressure. We are already under pressure playing the leaders in melbourne let alone all the other shite. Then he keeps turning it over back to them.

Bakuya....the short dropout. We practice it. We perfected it. Gray gets there and taps it straight back into his hands and .....he spills it.
These fools are doing better than the storm are at killing us off.

Bomber needs to stop this rot and send these guys to newtown. And tell everyone in mondays video session - that right there....that will NOT be tolerated in first grade.

But above all...the refs killed us tonite.
Constant penalties on their 5th tackles in our half. 2 points plus 2 points and so on. Our first tackle penalties in our half.
The dubious calls. Corrupt.
The forward pass.

We were disjointed to the shithouse with players moving positions from the word go and all the way through the game. It stuffed us up.

We had a dig for sure.

I laughed when Duggan got hurt again. The blokes just a permanent stretcher case.

He was the replacement fullback for the replacement fullback and was replaced by Morris who then had to be replaced after a head clash.

We were up against the crack ninja turtle team who capitalised on our forced positional changes.

Oh yeah and we still made heaps of dumb mistakes which didn't help. But all in all everything went according to plan.

Remember 2016 ..... we had a fantastic run with our injuries. Since then it has been one big casualty ward.

Yes our fullback got injured.

But the previous week we played Broncs who were disjointed, there playmaker went down , they had a hooker playing in hlaves they beat us

The game before vs Dogs, there only classy player Foran gets injured before half time, they find a way to win.

So here we are we lose Dugan in first half and we offer nothing, a short comeback in the 2nd half which we do each week, but its same thing each week.

* We start badly
* Dont complete sets of 6
* Dumb penalties, and its becoming easy to pick Woods is now worth 2 a game
* Missed tackles and they are everywhere

The concern is that the experienced players are the ones who are performing worse
* Prior i dont know how he is in the team, dropped ball he is outgunned
* Bukuya offers nothing from bench anymore
* Woods penalty a thon
* Dugan is Dugan there is ainjury and dumb mistake
* Feki He didnt want to have a go at the high ball he is a winger
* Moylan He has never got any better

That is 6 of the squad of 17 who are not playing anywhere near what they should.
We have yhe young guys Xerri, Nikora, Uele, Williams, BB who started the season well some on fire, but for all basically first full season in first grade they are starting to struggle, and when the old heads should help there is nothing on offer

Thought we tried our arse off and we’re much better. I think that performance will lead to a couple of wins very soon.
SJ best game in Sharks colours, strong in defence and ran the ball.
Whilst Morris has to make tough decisions in some positions he has one easy decision to make.....drop Prior, he’s done.

Frenzy.

I would hardly call it disgusting. I wouldn't even rate it poor. Not enough credit given to Melbourne. They are running like a high precision Swiss watch. They have collective abilities other teams just don't have. No other team can turn defence into attack like they do. No other team can take a minute in game event and turn momentum back in their favour. No other team "plays to the rules" as they are dictated. No other team has adapted to the constant tampering with the rules.

For all that they are charnts of the highest order, but they are very good charnts.

For mine, the Sharks turned up and put in. The effort was there, the execution off, once again. It's fixable but won't be until the side settles and they get more than 3-4 weeks in a row with a consistent run on team.

They got frustrated and that's a good sign. People who don't get frustrated at their performance don't care. The Sharks players care, they are just way out of kilter. That doesn't make them disgraceful as a group.

Who's in charge of hamstrings at the club? They are doing a shit job.

I refuse to comment on the grounds it may incriminate me.
Just as an aside as no one is listening, most of the team would have been better off at the movies in the latter part of the 2nd half.
Trouble is we have as many injuries as a Hong Kong riot.

The club has to take the positives.
Has to.
Theres been way too many negatives the last few weeks but we rocked up last night and - given absolutely no chance - shouldve led at the 60 minute mark when a disputable forward pass call was a dagger to our heart.
A classic momentum shift.

So to lead at the 60th minute....
Against the FULL STRENGTH leaders. And not just any leader - the storm.
In melbourne.
In the single biggest milestone game in 120 years.

On top of that... to have every nitpick decision....every 50/50 call...all go against us - plus have No Gal. No Wade. No Moylan. Plus lose our replacement fullback.
Plus to complete at 50% in the first half - and THEN....to STILL practically take the lead at the 60th minute.

Incredible.
To say we were poor....BS.

We turned a corner last night.
Still swimming against a tide in may respects but for me the big positive is this....

Every team goes through highs and lows during a season.

Brownie was 2 inches from getting sacked months ago. His team won 7 in a row and went top 4.
Penrith were the same.
Souths were undefeated after about 7 rounds and the NRL had already started inscripting their name on the trophy. They havent been able to win a game since and were lucky to hold on for a 1 point win last night against a team playing without their superstar match winning fullback.

Theres many more examples of these power shifts.
Most if not all take place during the origin or rep period.
Thats when ours started.
And even in our slide whilst we were playing like busteds we were still losing by 1 f**king goal!

The cream rises as the comp gets closer to September.
Now is a good time to get the silly season out of our head. We have plenty of blokes who have been around in August September footy.
About 15 in our starting 17.

No team in the comp beats storm in Melbourne last night.
None.
It wasnt allowed.

And l will also say no other team takes a hit injury wise, completion rate wise, refereeing wise and halftime score wise and gets to where we were at the 60th minute.
No other team.

We've all stuck the dagger in over the last 3 weeks and rightly so - but lm excited.
After last night l saw enough.

Of all the parts of the body we only get the hamstring injuries. Unbelievable

Last night was a significant improvement but still highly frustrating. There is a really good side there somewhere.

The Sharks don't fear Melbourne and they know it. They were one marginal call away from being under massive pressure.

The three tries were very good. Crisp passing and great hole running. Goal kicking much improved.

The errors were poor again. This has to be fixed for the team to play to its potential. Their middle forwards made too much ground. Line speed needs to pick up.

Even the commentators (Bedsy, Kevvie) we’re joking about the shot clock being off for Smith’s dropouts, 3rd ref, Referee’s boss Cam, etc.

You could have bet your house on Storm last night. They were NOT going to be allowed to lose...
