Good article. At least his are appreciated. ;-)

However, putting Peter Sharp and professional in the same place must have taken some doing.

thing is, Sharpy's getting something here that he never got at your joint.

resources!!!! ;-)

I was reliably told that Smithy called for a snap bonding session on saturday which lead to the boys going to wave aid!...I saw Muzz Peto at a Balmain cafe yesterday and we chatted for a while about the concert.

Well we know Eric went cause the band had to play on without him.....
Did u see anyone else at Waveaid Eela?? Anyone famous??

your sister! :D

Phhfttt!!! Hardly famous....... I see her all the time

Well, isn't that an interesting read?

Mark reckons that we area more structured and professional club than one which has been around forever?

WOW. I'm impressed. Now THAT is a great indication of just how good our club is.

Smithy taking light-hearted training sessions? Shows that he is in tune with the players and their thoughts.

Looking good.

I believe that the team Sharp inherited was not a bad one. He didn't seem to do much with a forward pack that contained the likes of O'Meley, Stringer, Toovey, Menzies, Kosef and Muir.

Not that Smith would have done either. ;-)

While they had some good players, the supporting cast left a lot to be desired! You could make a great Where Are They Now? piece from the sides he had from 1999 -2002. Bozo left him with a side going nowhere..... despite being littered with Internationals and Manly Legends.

Brendon Reeves, Andrew Frew, Albert Torrens, Terry Hill, Alf Duncan, Adam Hayden, Adam Brown, Nik Kosef, Daniel Gartner, Steve Menzies, Owen Cunningham, Geoff Toovey (c), Damian Driscoll. Int: Jim Serdaris, Steve Crouch, Phil Bailey, Cliff Lyons

But the big problem wasn't who he put on the field but what was happening off of it...... you can't tell me he had the total support of the Manly Mafia for the three years he was there? ;-)

chooses to reveal details of his conversation with Smithy he should come and post it himself.

Alrighty then.......I'll just cut straight to the chase and keep it brief.

1. Sharp - he said he is stoked to be back.

2. They pretty much know the side for Round 1. A couple of positions undecided, but its pretty much settled already.

3. Smithy said he is looking forward to the season. Acknolwedged we've got a lot of ground to make up but said 'dont you worry, we'll get that grand final'.

He seems really relaxed and full of beans. Afterwards, Tim Smith and few others stuck around having some kicking practice. B.S was running around, a huge grin on his face wearing what could have been a bowling hat playing ball boy for the guys and seemingly having a blast doing so.

Was this last night at Richie? I saw something going on over there but thought three sessions in the past two weeks was enough.

My son thinks its great........ ;-)

But yeah, it has been really different watching Smithy the past few weeks. He really looks like he is having fun which hasn't been evident the past two seasons at least....
