Another nail in the Anderson Coaching coffin

I think it's very likely that the board waited for CA to go on holidays before giving JA the news (given CA's propensity for tantrums that's what I'd do)

But I can't believe that CA had no idea it was about to happen. Isn't it more likely that Ando heard some rumours to that effect. If he did surely he would bail up someone like Sludge and give an ultimatum about it. Coming back from hols he finds that they've ignored his ultimatum - and that sends him quite ballistic.

Just speculation but it does account for both sides' versions.

It is a possibility, I guess but the original story seems pretty valid. I guess we will find out sooner or later.

OK.

Well I've cooked the humble pie and will now partake the eating thereof :)

Whenever I can go to the source, or one of the sources in this case, I will.

So before I even posted in this thread yesterday I had already emailed Sludge about the article.

I'll now get off the fence, sit down nicely with my pie and disclose that I don't think either were lying but the facts have been somewhat twisted. Sludge DID tell Opes first, but not WAY before like the article implies.

I hope Sludge doesn't mind too much that I am going to post this, but I am anyway. As usual his reply has been forthright and I believe honest and you can all make of it what you will

Matt

The first person to be informed of my decision not to retain Jarrad was Chris. I spoke to the Board on the Tuesday night and informed them of the action I was taking, I spoke to Chris upon his return from holiday on the Wednesday and met with him on the Thursday morning.

Dean won't be back at this point in time, the Luke Phillips matter was resolved months ago, he also is not coming.

Regards...Steve

That doesn't say that Ando was informed before he went on holidays. It does say he was informed before Ando jr though. I stand corrected also.

Did Milford get the sack?

I think he'll be on match payments only, not part of the '25'

That was kind of the club, not sending him back to Jim Bean cup football.

Match payments was more than Jarrad Anderson deserves.

Regardless of when Sludge made his decision about Anderson, it was the right one, in my opinion.

To be honest, I still find Morph's theory to be wrong, but I don't want to go into that now. The fact is that a sub standard player was axed. Whether that provoked Opes or not is irrelevant. He needed to be axed and he was. Everything that happened afterwards is scenery.

That Wilson is like a snake. Spitting venom in all directions, it's also like she has a vendetta with the Sharkies. Maybe a former player turned her down. I say former because after all, she is getting on in years. :-$
