Hull fc winger Tom brisco signed for cronulla from 2014. Good signing for them, more English in NRL can only be good for the international game.

He's not a bad player but the poms overrate him. It will be good to see how he go's down here.

A quality winger who will no doubt bolster their backline, but don't expect an impact like we've seen from English imports so far. Still a good move though, can only help his development (still only 22) which will hopefully run into England performances.

Speaking of my fellow poms, how's Scott Moore getting on at the Cowboys?

Doesn't seem to have hit anyone or taken crack lately, so a pass mark so far. On a serious/football note the sounds from camp have been good regarding his fitness, professionalism etc, we'll see how well he plays starting this weekend.

Hate to say it, but Ryan Hall would go well in the NRL. From a Leeds point of view, I hope he doesn't, but he's a better player than Briscoe in my book. Briscoe had a shocker at AAMI park Australia v England game a couple years back. He'll be hoping for a better show versus Billy and Co on his next visit.

You could probably forgive him though, he's still a kid now.

Easily better than our other wingers. He will go well, could even be another Brian Carney given NRL experience.

Would love to see Ryan Hall, James Roby or Sam Tomkins in the NRL. They would rip it up.

I also think that getting more English players playing in Australia is going to seriously help their international competitiveness.

I'm not taking anything away from them, but guys like Sam Burgess and Gareth Widdop have taken their game up a notch with NRL experience.

Players like Briscoe and Scott Moore will be a better gauge of that. Widdop has never played first grade in the UK and Sam Burgess, Gareth Ellis haven't done anything in the NRL that they already showed in esl and internationally. Luke Burgess showed some signs but hard to gauge with the injuries.
