Couldn't be happier. f**k the club in shambles lines, we weren't going to win shit and were not building towards anything for next season. A change was needed and this is great timing, gives us a shot at a miracle instead of going quietly into the night.
exactly. we weren't going to win the comp when the staff or players have no faith in a supposed "arrogant prick".

on nrl 360 they're talking about the possibility of Bennet going to the riff. buzz saying that they would not work given their ego. kent and Ikin saying that they could just work together for 2 years to get the premiership and part ways. this whole situation is getting crazy wowee
Don't listen to those f**king idiots and their suppositions. My hope is that Cleary is coming back to the Panthers. Maybe Gus has figured it out that because the coaches salary does not come under the cap,he can pay Cleary overs to pay his son,so we can create even more room in our overall cap for other players.

Of course Gus will have to work out a release deal with the Tigers by offloading a couple of promising juniors/seniors to the WT.

Either that,or Brennan comes back from the Titans and Ciraldo to the Tits. But whatever the eventual outcome,it will be a very, very interesting event this Saturday. If the Panthers spark up and go up a couple of notches in their overall performance, this will be seen as a move that was overdue. And it will provide the fans with a renewed vigor in the Panthers chances of winning the comp.

Ivan didn't fail. He f**ked up at that press conference and got a bit down after that season but he didn't fail. Mistakes but nothing worth losing his position over. Gus failed by getting rid of him. And if Gus is going to own to that and is willing to bring him back then good.

You know you're probably right.

Actually the coaches salary does come under a football department cap. If you go over the cap you have to pay what’s called a luxury tax.

If you were Ivan you wouldn’t be coming back without a 5 year deal or something lengthy like that. Tigers will be f**king pissed off too if he leaves. They will rapidly go back to being shit.

What is his win % here and overall? Either go unproven or Maguire or someone that has runs on the board
He has beaten top 4 teams in finals and made a grand final.

Hook has done neither. But yeah lets compare the coach who has rebuilt 3 clubs win ratio to a coach who has only had teams ready for giving a premiership a shake.

If I was Cleary, with a side absolutely humming in promise for a GF,and an early chance to coach his son with his mates,I'd bloody go to Penrith.

The crap in the past is water under the bridge. Getting him back would be a coup.

I would love to see Ivan back. He was Coach of the Year with us and got us within a converted try of a grand final with in my opinion a significantly less talented squad than the one we have now.
