Getting flogged by 50 points regularly isn’t setting them up for success. If it doesn’t turn around soon those young guns will get sick of losing and look elsewhere for the chance to be competitive and guys like Fifita, Haas etc will have clubs lining up to get them.

if anyone took anything out of the the jordan's last dance doco apart from being star struck, it's to f**king work your arse off and improve. his teams got beat easy in the early years and he didn't win his first title until he was 28 - 8th or 9th season in the league.

it's not like the guy they replaced him with has done too much better in the last two weeks - 5 tries to 2; and 4 tries to 1 in consecutive weeks. still comprehensive beatings.

Granted all 4 are talented players, but only 2 of them can start in the front row each week, so if you are playing all 4 starter's money, it means you have less salary cap space to spend on other positions in the squad.

Cant see Milford starting up a breakfast club anytime soon. Jordans bulls started competing in the playoffs when he got better teammates. He didnt have same teammates for his first title run that he had in his rookie year, not even close and Jordan himself was exceptional from day one, he certainly worked hard and improved greatly over his career but his winning didnt start until the quality of his teammates improved.

I just think Seibold went all in on these young guys rather than taking the time to manage it properly. Now he is bringing in experience mid season. He has shuffled Milford around more than once, he has moved on guys midseason both the last two season and released guys early. it just doesnt feel like he has a plan other than to clear out the squad and hope like hell the next batch of kids kicks on.

Donkeys fans were up themselves and smartarses to others throughout the 90s and 00s, especially towards those who supported clubs that were down the ladder. The bully boys of the 90s and 00s have become the whipping boys of the 10s and 20s.

It's funny because all of the Donkeys' problems are self-induced. There's no reason for them to be so far down the ladder. They have 2.500,000 RL mad people all to themselves with talented juniors who'll play for unders just to be with the Donks, but they still cannot use this to their advantage. More 7 day turnarounds and favourable decisions from refs than any other club. How the club has sunk so far is a mystery and shows that having too much power can be a bad thing, as it makes people complacent. Nothing will change at your club until you get rid of the head office and replace it with people who are willing to go out into the field and work for their money, like every other club.

I truly believe this is the root of their current issues, when developing their roster it appears they have neglected balance. You do not win premierships without it.

Milford to fullback, Dearden/Croft halves combo, Isaako/Oates on the wings, Staggs/Kahu centres. Forward pack doesn't need any changes, add a zippy utility in the Drinkwater mold to the bench and then tweak the game plan to give Milford more ball in the latter stages of each half, give him free rein to play ad lib footy. The halves just need to focus on game management and better last tackle options - their forwards are good enough to make decent metres and get in good field position.

Well as low as we've sunk, as much as we've struggled, as toothless and decrepit and gammy as we've proven to be for the best part of two decades, we STILL live rent free in the heads of a large percentage of the RL fan base. Always on your minds, always on your lips, always on your TV.

We will happily continue to provide the lion's share of the TV revenue money to continue to uphold the viability of whatever little club you happen to support. For no thanks other than your scorn and ridicule and contempt.

as kids these blokes only ever wanted to be broncos. from the johns interview with cam smith on mattys podcast, it's clear that the rejection drove all of them to be what they became.

They all told the broncos to f**k off when the they came sniffing around when they were established players.

milford definitely in midfield. it's where he carved up for canberra, and why the donkeys brought him in. he'll be even more damaging with tired middles and repeat sets.
