But I do share the same concerns, regarding the players seeing it, there fore I strongly suggest you don't raise until Kick off in first grade, not during the earlier games or when our firsts run out.

we also need to get the attention of some still photographers who work with news limited or SMH, I guess it's a matter of going up to them and saying theres a backpage photo opportunity on the hill if your interested. I'm sure we will have plenty of volunteers who could do that.

Ok, Im gunna look like such a piker now, but... I am not making the sign for this weekend. Have been speaking to a few people and we have all come to the conclusion that I was to make the SOS banner it would actually hurt the players more than it would hurt Smith. That man is not human and has no emotion so it would not affect him what-so-ever. I still hate the man tho, and if there were to be some sort of staged protest I would be in it 100%. I have also had issues in the past were people have said they would back me on things, and when it came down to the crunch they have left me to fight alone. Not something I can do here.

Yeah, see thats another thing. I am loving the changes he has made. Dont want to give him ammo to send it back to the old ways. Leave Dykes where he is!! Just one thing I noticed Smith mention during the week. He said that he is "not a fan, but a coach" or something to that affect. I thought to be a succesful coach, you would indeed need to be a fan of your own club. So, im my mind, he is basically saying he doesnt give a sh*t about us.

His comment is based on decisions and emotion - as fans we are emotional and our decisions can be based very much on a win or a loss where as a coach lives and dies by his decisions and emotion can't necessarily play a part in his decisions.

Its not about us as fans but about him as coach.

Besides, I believe we can turn it all around. We were much worse off last year - 5 wins in 14 rounds. And that year we just missed out on the 8.

You know what, there was a time when I could sit down with Smithy and have a beer and try and keep the whole coaching thing aside. But I cant anymore. He has emotionally hurt some of my good mates and just because he may have had his "coaching cap" on at the time, doesnt make his words any less hurtful. So Yes, at this present time I have nothing but hatred for the man Brian Smith!!!

Hate is a strong word.

I dont know Smith personally - but to me, he has always come across as somebody who cares deeply for the game and a person of high integrity, whi has always been more than approachable. But thats only the Brian Smith I have come across......and thats all I can judge Brian Smith the person on.

To say he has got no emotion is a bit tough, I've seen him after the some of the losses and he has looked gutted. That mightn't come across in his media interviews, but should it? I know when Daniel Anderson has publically slammed his players after poor performances and vented his spleen, he copped a bit of a battering. Smith cant wib, I'm sure if he did likewise, it might make some fans feel good for 5 minutes.....but then he'd probably get the same criticism that Adno got.

As much as I adore the Eels and love RL, we must all, at the end of the day,

IT IS JUST A GAME.

Nobody has died. Nobody's life has been made impossible.

Disliking him enormously? Fair enough.
