What authenticity is there other than what is perceived? If there's anything that exists in the eye of the beholder it is authenticity.

Deeoly philosophical... but when you're talking about articles of clothing etc, there is actual authenticity (a real Chanel handbag) and perceived authenticity (a barely discernable fake with the logos etc all in the right place).

Footy jerseys are a bit different imo. the sponsor logos change every other year. I still don't know why anyone other than 14yos bother updating jerseys fanatically to be "authentic" (rather than close enough).

Well I was going to swing past on my annual trip to Byron. Now I'm not so sure.

Well don't have much news anyway, Nine's jerseys is very good. Home and away look like staying the same due to lack of foresight with staff changes etc. Heritage is as is listed in the membership stuff.
And still no sponsor.....
Training gear looks good, but again no sponsors except Shine Lawyers on the back.

I'm confident we will get a sponsor. I did hear on the grapevine that Chemist Wharehouse were sounded out. Has anyone else heard this?

Not to keen on them. It would look crap on the jersey. Much prefer someone like Mazda or Hyundai. Lexus would be even better.

I'm lead to believe that problem is the club, they have people in positions they have no experience and are making decisions they should not be, or not making decisions at all.
That's why we have no sponsor and why our jerseys have not been updated. We have already had 3 years with our home jerseys so we are meant to change them by NRL standards. The club had designs to choose from by no decisions were made.
We had no CEO til last week and the person given the responsibility for decisions like jerseys etc seems way out of their depth. Not that persons fault I might add they were just dumped with it.
The more things change, the more they stay the same....

The 9's jerseys a look good to me, even better than last year and the design will look better without the sponsor on the front. We will like them even more if we win it again.

I thought that the NRL requirements was that you had to stick with a main jersey for a minimum of 3 years, not that you had to change after 3.

You maybe right, i was under the impression you had to change it every 3 years unless your jersey had historical significance like Dragons red V, Roosters and Souths jerseys.
