Still not convinced Sione will be ready as a centre next year. He was replaced by Jimmy last night and he looked better there than Sione has all year

Agreed. He's 2-3 years away from understanding the position. He's still learning to trust his peers either side of him.

What I find frustrating is Stone dropping Mamo because he's still learning and sticking with Sione who is going through the same process.

Without reading the above posts;

- Managed to re-sign everyone we wanted to.
- Rochow looks to have stepped up his game and leadership when he played
- Players of the future getting plenty of FG experience
- Vai Vai, Tapine getting better with each game
- Signing of Hodkinson - regardless of how you rate him or what you think he's worth I think he brings a lot of attributes that we need
- Gidley and Tyrone's last season with us

Wayne Bennett (who is thought to be the most successful coach of the modern era) could only just scrape this current squad into the finals one season. Why does everyone think a new coach will magically fix this side?

I think punting Stone would help a fair bit (in the short term at least) but I don't have the same confidence as everyone else that another coach will be able to fix this current squad. There's something broken about them.

I don't think adding hodkinson and paea is going to change a whole lot tbh.

He decided to sign with the Roosters, wasn't exactly us purely sacking him.

But I agree, I think Smith could do wonders with this roster if they all are on board. On the other hand he could make things much worse than they are now.
