I have read on here previously that we shouldn't worry that nobody has been signed yet, and just to wait and see. But I am getting close to panic now. Will we sign someone besides Carl Webb?

Unless Mrs Norks wants to come home, I'm surprised that he'd be contemplating this. Gower's team has done a Roosters this year coming from almost relegation to a top 4 spot. He'd be earning easy 500,000 euros ($AU700k) as it's average coin for a Top 14 player over there.

2UE REPORTED ON ITS 6 AM news that Craig Gower wants to return to Aust with his family and Parra are one of the faves to get him.

FMD- is there anyone left out there that we haven't been linked to?

EELS STILL EYEING BARRETT
WHILE we are talking about in-demand five-eighths, take it as fact that the Eels are still sniffing around Trent Barrett. The most recent inquiries came about a week ago. And Eels fans, don't think your club boss has forgotten that Warriors five-eighth James Maloney is a former Parramatta junior. He has a year on his contract and Paul Osborne is already making subtle inquiries. I asked Osborne a number of times during the week if he had any interest in Braith Anasta and he kept saying no.

TONGA TIE NOT BINDING
WILLIE TONGA might deny it, but there is no doubt he wants to leave the Cowboys if he can find a suitable deal. The Gold Coast keeps getting a mention. And Tonga has an ace up his sleeve - coach Neil Henry promised if he ever wanted a release, he could have one.

i hope trent's mrs doesn't mind us sniffing around him

Funny, I mentioned in another thread that we have more than enough money to bring someone out of retirement. ;-)

If someone could confirm it... don't you think they would have posted it as soon as they knew?????

Sorry, In the future I wont ask questions in a public forum that haven't already been answered...

Surely Sterlo's hips and knees are up to one more first grade season. How much would he cost?

I would be more concerned if we were not linked to every half back that could become avaiilable, that is how much we need a real 7 ( not someone who can tackle).

a 12 month deal would be good .... I'm concerned about Orford because I reckon he'd want more than 1yr .... is Orford's Bradford contract 1 or 2 yrs?
2 years is easy. A lot of cap space for 2011 but we want to save cap space for getting Cooper in 2012. So we tell Orford "we will pay give you $1m over 2 years... you get 95% of that in 2011 and minimum wage in 2012"

Well his own manager has been quoted as saying that they are keen to return home.....

Even though Gower is a better option then Orford imo, I would be very wary of him coming to Parra. He is the kind of guy that loves talking up how great playing Rugby in Europe is and encourages players at every opportunity to take the plunge. He will have a million and one super duper stories to tell to anyone who cares to listen and will point out to any player that gets any bad press(Hayne) or to much pressure put on him, that they don't need to put up with such nonsense and that the crowds over there will worship you etc, etc, etc...

Funny how Parra has so much money avalaiable and yet we still haven't be able to sign any good players yet, just shows what players think about our joke of a club.

Agree, you should support a club going places like the Dogs.
