The tragedy here is this was completely predictable - it was a crazy decision to reappoint Flanno for 3 years :

We have been treading water ever since - another 12 months down the gurgler.

At least Gorman seems to be stopping the rot now - better late then never.

So of some potential candidates :

- Nathan Brown : think he is too smart to take it on, he's holding out for something better
- Griffin : developed some good juniors at the Broncos, would plug us into some good young Qld talent (Ashley Taylor anyone ?) Bennett is reaping the benefits of his groundwork this year
- Garth Brennan as a smoky ? Hear lots of good things about him ...
- Barrett : please no ... his IQ is only marginally higher than Flanno's ...
- Kevvy Walters : not up to it IMHO, at best has assistant written all over him

Surely Flannos contract would be riddled with a lot of conditions. oh wait its a Cronulla board, he will f**k them over for millions.

Watching Sterlo last night ,at the end of 2016 Bellamy's contract is up. Sharks should negotiate.

Bellamy will either take the Aus job at the end of his contract, or retire.
He won't want to climb another mountain ... and we are Everest without oxygen right now.

I think Brown would be great.

He was a sharks fan growing up and I think he is a good coach.

Outside the box for a minute. Why not grab a successful coach from lower grades or even another comp area. Anyone with consistent success has to have something goin for em.

We're all throwing names out that we all know and have seen coach. If we are asking for new, fresh players, why not a coach? They all got a first shot at some point.

Would save a boatload of cash freed up and sure as hell can't be any worse than right now.

Getting rid of Flanno is only half the job anyway. Have to offload Gallen and Graham as well. All three are cancers in the club.

Think Graham might be young enough to stick with. Just not as captain.

If Flanno goes all of the trainers / assistants around him need to go too. It has to be a fresh start with a professional group of people around the new coach. None of this jobs for mates crap that is currently going on.

Who got a job cause they were mates with someone?

If it's now Flanno vs Gorman (as reported), and the relationship is untenable, then Flanno has to go. The worst thing that could happen to us is that Gorman cracks it and leaves.

Rumours (likely bullshit) floating that 6 players will activate get out clauses or walk immediately if Flanno is sacked. Outcome of the board meeting rumoured to be Gorman/Flanno told to keep the peace and carry on. I think the former would be ideal for us...need to move on the guys who are infected and jaded with years of losing mentality... (this year is the year we needed Chris Anderson, not 2002!)

Place needs a clean out...the player attitudes have been awful on pitch lately. Lazy kick chases, constant attempts to bleed penalties in back play while the game continues around them, turning their back to the defence after a penalty...all real morale issues that need to be cleaned out. Air of unprofessionalism stinks from coaching staff down.
