Anyone still want to sack Flanno?

Not so certain we will lose Lyall. If what has been posted in this and other forums is correct he will have taken this job knowing at some point he would be at odds with others. My guess is there was no way Noicy was strong enough to do the things needed which is why Lyall is on board. This is the fight he may have been brought in to have.

I'm still waiting for a legitimate replacement to be announced

Not some make believe coach that wouldn't touch us with a 50 ft pole either .
So far Nathan brown is leading the list of ex NRL coaches who have probably no idea they are
being wanked off over in here.

If they sack him they better have a bloody good replacement or its gonna be same shit different day
Except we'll be paying two of them to do the same job that flano is already doing.

Agree, we don't want another Chris Anderson/George Roper situation.

Unless by some miracle Bellyache or someone similar agrees to come here I am hoping Gorman can work with Flanno to improve the area's we need to without paying two coaches.

Carch - Garth Brennan for starters - he is a coach on the up, looking for a first grade opportunity.

Roosters took a punt with Trent Robinson & it paid off ... fortune favours the brave ... but not the criminally thick.

I'd prefer someone with first grade experience.

We are not going to find a Trent Robinson.

We can't afford to be a new coach's guinea pig.

You blokes are so Dragons under Price its hilarious.

Flannos number 1 guy.

Hahahahahahaha.

Ring Jeff Edelston! Hahaha.

No, no, take it upon yourselves to get Edward Scissorhands to lead the coup. He was your Obi Wan Kenoble. Your last hope.

It's gonna come down to lyall or flanno. Its a no brainer for your pathetic, gutless board. Of course, Flanno will win, which is exactly why Cronulla are and always will be Cronulla.

Boys club.

There is only one name.

NB.

We will miss the boat as the next coach in Sydney sacked will be replaced by him.

And we will rue our inability to act.

I'm a year ahead of you and anyone who feels the same should put it in here because the forum IS being monitored and also consider writing to the club

The losers rang me last week begging me to re join so I asked is PhukAgain still the coach, got told yes, so I said ring me back when he isnt.

It's not a footy club, it's a circus.

I didn't renew this year - not likely to either.

Email address please - I wish to let Lyle know.

Thanks - then out of here again until Flanagan is gone.

Getting rid of Flanno is only half the job anyway. Have to offload Gallen and Graham as well. All three are cancers in the club.

Here is Lyall response from my email:

Hi and thank you for your note. Thank you also for being such an obviously committed and caring member of both our Football and Leagues Clubs. Have no doubt that it is Members like you who clearly have such passion for their club that are the fundamental pillar on which our future success will be built.
In relation to your question below firstly may I say that each and every one of us is accountable in our club for the outcomes we are charged with delivering.
Obviously, if the Coach is accountable for the first four weeks he is of course also accountable for the result on Sunday.
In the first four rounds the things that let us down were poor ball control, careless penalties and a lower than expected kicking game. We have been working hard as a club on these areas day in day out and have never lost belief in the capabilities of our squad and support staff. We have all felt that once this group clicks it can do something special.
Sunday has reinforced that belief. Our opportunity now is to maintain momentum and deliver week in week out what we are truly capable of.
Our judgement will be at the end of the year and not after five rounds from which with a little more discipline and focus we could have just as easily been 4 and 1 instead of 1 and 4.
Hang in there and enjoy the ride ahead. No doubt there will be some speed humps but hopefully many good times as well

Best regards
Lyall

I just sent this.

Good Morning Mr. Gorman,

I have been a supporter of the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks for over 40 years. As you are well aware we have been through a few rough years and some good ones but still no premiership.

The Sharks used to play a free flowing and entertaining style of footy – not anymore.

They were enjoyable to watch – not anymore.

I watched every game, every weekend – not anymore.

I bought new merchandise – not anymore.

I supported them even though we have not won any premierships and that our trophy cabinet is bare (except for the Amco Cup) – not anymore.

I even stood by them during the peptide scandal – not anymore.

The reason is simple – the reappointment for three years of a coach who is devoid of ability to coach at this level AND who was the Head Coach during the peptide scandal. The mind boggles at the board’s decision to reappoint this coach. It may have been for financial reasons but I wonder how much in dollar terms it may have cost us with memberships, merchandise and most importantly, sponsors.

He appears incapable of adjusting to the modern game.

He appears incapable of growing and mentoring young players.

He appears incapable of accepting blame for losses.

His game plans appear to consist solely of bash and barge for five tackles and then attempt a kick.

He appears to play ‘favourites’ and it’s only through injury or suspension that young players get a start.

I, like a lot of other Shark supporters are sick of being in the media for all the wrong reasons including the continual loss of games that we should have won!

I, like a lot of other Shark supporters will not be supporting the team until somethings change, beginning with the coach. Promoting Steve Price is not the answer either – there was a reason why he is no longer at St. George Illawarra.

I know, as a supporter that we stay loyal and support your team through the good and the bad – but there has not been much good in the last couple of years.

I, like all Shark supporters want a premiership before we die. Well Mr. Gorman, I am in my mid 50s and things aren’t looking good at present are they?

How much longer do we, as supporters, have to put up with this inexcusable situation?

Thank You for taking the time to read my email.

That's pretty piss weak.

Most of it is just coach bashing with no substance.

Gorman is an absolute professional, he'd look at that and go "ok then!"

I don't understand not renewing all that does is keep the revenue down

It's the only form of protest that actually has an impact. If they want the place to crash and burn by sticking with phlemmo, then so be it.
