Okay, so the first challenge. The betting one was maybe a bit complicated while we're still getting our heads around the rules. We'll do that for round 2 instead.

Simple one for this week.

You've all seen Masterchef or Come Dine With Me, yeah? At very least you'll be familiar with the concept of 'food'. Your task is to put together a 3 course (starter, main, dessert/pudding) menu with accompanying pictures from the internet. You don't have to make the food - just the menu. I'll put together a panel of judges (mods from other boards), to vote on which menu is the better - ie which they'd choose.
Anything you like - at theme, Thai, Italian etc or an eclectic mix.

A rubbish example - Prawn cocktail, steak and chips, black forest gateaux (sp?). Then I'd find really nice pictures of them for illustration, but I've got to go to work now, so I can't. You've got 1 week, starting... now.

One of them has just posted they should go with classic yorkshire food.

I can't decide if that's a good plan considering the judges will probably be from there, or the first attempt at gameplaying (sucking us into thinking they are going with roast beef and spotted dick)

it would be good if we could get a private social group made. i can put a small anonymous forum up on my own servers without much issue if need be, but it would be easier for everyone involved if we had a little nook somewhere on LU, given that we all have accounts here.

we've got a week for the challenge, it'd be good if everyone started thinking about the best meals they've had... or, more to my taste... maybe something a little surreal, zany or outside the box as far as a concept goes. personally i feel the challenge is lame, and would gladly serve them up a piss cocktail entree, cleaveland steamer main and nutsauce pudding dessert. call it captains delight.

maybe we should just start posting pics of food we like. that would be a good start.
