I tried to buy tickets as well- cheapest at $110 for lousy seats and some side seats listed as $548. Just insane amounts so we’re definitely not going. I can’t believe these ridiculously over the top prices. We’ve gone every year for such a long time and we’re sad to miss out, but these prices are insane

There must be something going on here, as a uniformed member we used to get certain amount of ticket allocations, but that is still not available, so maybe this year it wont happen. Raking the glory off ANZAC day to charge $548 for a ticket is absolutely deplorable, it is down right disgusting as has been previously mentioned.

Sadly the days of sacking a coach as a simple fix are gone.

There's a small handful of coaches out there who can come in an exact major change but even then it takes a whole team of motivated people and a 5 year plan to bring about getting a consistent winning footy team and a positive culture.

Look at the number of clubs bobbing around just making up numbers, going from win to loss, not really threatening for anything. We are just one of those and yesterday is a reminder how far off a competitive team who can play finals we are.

Sad.
Monotonous.
Beyond frustrating.

We eventually got 2 of the last tickets at $80 full price and my concession at $65- but with obscured view, which turned out to be a stair case railing so our view of the northeast tryline was blocked a little.
Wish i didnt bother going with my Rooster supporter daughter with me. Two years in a row of pathetic play by us and getting a huge score against us. There was also a lot of Roosters supporters there this time which suprised me. Normally its 90% Dragons. I’ll think very carefully about going next year- its really a bad day when in the morning you go to a march celebrating people who gave their all to save us, to a match where half the team dont even turn up to play. Very expensive waste of my time

This actually makes me feel miserable.

The people running our club have no appreciation for the fans that stick with the Dragons. The laziest and most unseen club officials in the game. I remember during the Mary days the situation had gotten so bad that boycotting the games was some of the chatter on here, just to make a point of how poorly the club was run. But the fans kept turning up, and the keep on forking out their hard earned even through all the patchwork jobs we've seen since. Even now, we have a coach who I personally believe wants to see the club transcend this state and succeed and it really looks as if he is on his lonesome - so long as the club is profitable, no one really cares.

Just a random snapshot of what we can observe going on:
We lose Hunt. We get the ailing Ilias last minute. He has been dropped multiple times in his short career for a reason. Stop-gap measure.
Manly lose DCE and they lock up the astute Fogarty within weeks. Succession plan.
But at least we have our young guns coming through so let's look to the future...Bulldogs in the mix for premiership and they lock up our best junior. Back to a 4 year development of another player for us.
Blake Lawrie racks up 150 games, about 50 too many and is belted by 30 in his milestone game because really, we are still just a rabble that has its day every now and then. Stop-gap measure.

I am sorry you had to pay so much money to watch a club that is a mere shadow of what you grew up with. I am still relatively young, a child of the 90s, and I find myself watching classic matches on Youtube to generate the feels for this club because I will not accept the myth.

The ANZAC Day match is meaningful but it is also a product that the game sells. One more flogging and they will find a reason to replace us. We are supposed to be competitive.
