I hear he got picked because he has good core strength and he peels off the tackled player well.

Players like Apple are not a dime a dozen.

They should have brought over his brother Taco as well. They would have complimented each other.

He is seasoned and full of beans. If you are not careful he will run through you all day.

read article in rugby league week magazine. Apple is playing for Noosa team in the sunshine coast.

Are you sure Stiff? Zac Shaul, another guy from Florida, is playing for Noosa. I wonder if Apple has gone down there to get more game time?

yip heres an extract in an interview with Noosa coach Dane Campbell in Rugby League Weekly.

'The 27 year old has former Newcastle Knight cast his over junior talent in Fiji while on a family holiday last week and has already signed Florida players Zac Shaul and Apple Pope.

Shaul played prop for the Brandenton Bulldogs while Pope was hooker for Jacksonville Axeman and has represented the US Tomahawks'

Wherever Apple may have landed, I think he has done well. Zac seems a bit more polished. Comparing them is like comparing Apples and Oranges. And after all, Florida is more famous for Oranges.
