Anyway I didn't have much success with patches though. Champix on the other hand, worked a treat, 20yrs of smoking all finished up, and cheaper than patches. Need to see a doctor to get that prescription though.

Patches didn't work for me and I found they my skin itch and gave me weird dreams. Have you tried Zyban? I tried it 5 years ago and quit smoking after 2 weeks and haven't had a cigarate since. Before that I smoked close to a pack a day (sometimes more) for 14 years.

I got some nightmares when using patches.

The last thing I used was Champix and it worked a treat, didn't get many mood swings and had no trouble being around other smokers.

But like a moron I started smoking again 3 months later :crazy:

no, you have too strong a patch. Get the next dose down. It could actually be quite dangerous, nicotine poisoning isnt nice.

Dude can only relate my girlfriends experiences, but they made her dizzy, giddy and yep as high as a kite.

Particularly the 4mg ones......

If your patches are too strong you can cut them in half with scissors to halve the dose.
Since the strong ones cost the same as the weak ones, people i know just buy the strong ones and reduce their dose by cutting them.

Re: The Dreams. I had some pretty funky dreams last night, not really nightmares, just out-there dreams. I think I remember something about shaking it off whilst peeing, and then getting into a barney over it. Very odd. .

I don't smoke cigarettes anymore, but I do roll nicotine patches up and smoke them instead.

Started on Champix three months ago and have quit pretty well. Except when I drink too much. But they are heaps better than patches. I had to stop using them whenever I've tried them because of the nightmares, I'd wake up three times a night in a panic and feel exhausted all the time.

Whatever you do don't smoke when you're using patches, it's can give you an overdose and even if you take the patch off you'll still get nicotine from it because of the gluey stuff.
