Pretty awful logic in that. If it’s fated that you’ll recover it’s possibly also fated that you’ll go to the doctor and seek treatment.
It doesn’t follow that going to the doctor is pointless.

what it does demonstrate is that we operate under the illusion of free choice even if we don’t have it- it’s kinda pointless to try to act otherwise.
