Are Sporting News Australia talking shit?

So they’re reporting that we’re trying to offload Jacob Host before the June deadline to make a “big money signing”. There’s no big name players on the market so I highly doubt that it’s true and the only play that comes to mind is Trent Merrin, but I wouldn’t exactly call him a “big money” signing unless we’re paying a lot more money then he’s worth. Is there any other players that are in talks with the club?

1) a full-back who can tackle
2) a right centre who can tackle
3) a winger who has played rugby league before
4) a coach who can get a side firing (and I mean just playing well, looking cohesive, with a bit of structure and energy - not winning every week) for more than the duration of his contract renewal discussions.
5) a proactive board that gives a crap about something other than their own status

A couple of points

1. We already have room under the cap to fit a player in and we are supposedly getting some cap relief for JDB. So why would we offload a forward to but a forward, still have a vacancy on the roster and especially when we are already short of forwards?
2. Host would be on minimal money so hard to see it having any effect financially as to who we might sign.
