Are the Panthers the most disappointing team of this season?

It is very interesting that the Panthers fans on this thread so few and far between. The honest ones admit that the team has been a huge disappointment. The rest are silent, like their hero Gus Gould, as if they think that if they are uncritical the team will suddenly start playing better and get into the playoffs.

You think because people don't respond to your thread that people aren't critical? Have you visited the Panthers section? Most people want Griffin gone and changes made with the roster management because they should be better than they are. As for most I think it's Warriors. With the addition of Foran they should be in the 8 right now. Not getting beat by us and an injury riddled Dragons team.

Most Panthers fans are off the forum this weekend celebrating 3 in a row with the bye.

As stated above, there's plenty of criticism going on in the Panthers forum. Do you seriously expect sensible replies? Read the Original post. You're obviously an A grade f**kwit. This thread has received the respect it deserves from Panther /non Panther supporters.

Yep. When I read the OP I assumed it was an attempt at trolling Panther fans.

Can't help but feel that the problem is in Peter Wallace.
He's a great passer and decision maker gotta be the least effective 9 in the comp at running from DH. It puts no emphasis on markers to get square and gives Penrith a huge disadvantage with fatigue of forwards.

That's a good point. He does do it but he isn't as aware of it. Our biggest issue is no settle halves combination. We might be looking at our 3rd this year and one involved a forward.

One of my mates goes for the Panthers, I told him that pundits and bookies were yanking his chain and they would be lucky to make 5-8, but will prob miss out in september.

Or it could be the team is actually shit and believed their own hype and have been found out.

I am glad to see that some of the previously silent Panther fans have a pulse, even if nothing intelligent to say.

The fact remains that a team with the attacking prowess of Pretty Boy Moylan, Waqa Blake, and Nathan "The Chin" Cleary in its ranks is running near the bottom of the competition shows how hopeless the forward pack and the coach must be. It is a joke that Gus Gould the Magnificent sacked a skilful coach who had managed to take the NZ Warriors to a Grand Final in 2011, and hired the new coach Grriffin after his failed run at Brisbane. So much for the wise management of the Penrith club. The fact is that Penrith Panthers is a club run by and for bush yobbos.

It's a good team with a very average coach.

If you want a bite your trolling needs to be better. Your attempts are like Pearce in Origin.

Bullshit... its a good team with a terrible coach.

The only good run of form in his time with us came when injuries shaped our squad. Give him a healthy team and he f**king ruins it.

Whare and Hiku have forced last years centres to be reshuffled... and so far neither has had an above average game.

Hook is a horrible coach, but the team is bang average. two VERY young halves who havent really done much, moylan is soft and you have a makeshift hooker. You guys were NEVER going to win anything with that team and that coach.

Personally I think they have out done themselves over the last couple of weeks.
I don't rate them at all this year, but saying that I think they become a very good team if they let these young players develop and stop hyping them up, apart from Cleary they just aren't that good, YET.

Agreed. "Very average" was more for effect than being literal.

I like how much shit people talk to try and put down a team. Moylan is so soft he got targeted in origin at 6 and only ended up with 1 missed tackle. No injuries or anything. He also defends in the line for Panthers at times.
