Are the Panthers the most disappointing team of this season?

Has to be the Warriors, look at their spine, it has to be in the top few spines in the league yet they struggle to win games, they have some decent forwards too.

For mine, Penrith over achieved last year and this year they are running slightly worse than where they should be.

Canberra would be the most disappointing for me. They were brutal through the back end of last season, bashing the shit out of any side they wanted on a weekly basis.

This year they look like a team that is in their first season together. Attacking combinations aren't clicking, second phase play is far less prominent and it would appear they are over structured and less imagniative.

However, they can get better at the drop of a hat and I suspect that will happen again towards the end of the Origin period.

The problem I have with labelling the Warriors as the most disappointing is that they are disappointing nearly every year.

Kearney was not a good idea as coach, but I believe the Warriors woes run far deeper than the players and coach. Structure of the junior networks, restrictive recruitment practices within their own country and an almost narrow minded policy of filling the side with Kiwi players (and Blake Ayshford, who hasn't been bad, but you know, Blake Ayshford)

IF we aren't the most disappointing we are very close to it. Warriors are one of the most disappointing for sure, the addition of foran this year plus the return of RTS keeps them eligible imo.

At this stage of the competition?

Abso.

Lutely.

Many Panthers fans would agree that this is the close to the best roster Penrith has assembled since 2003. Possibly the most talented young side in the comp. My grade is D-

Though somehow our season is still salvageable. We should be one of the stronger sides during the rep season and we have gone 2 on the trot. Mansour will add a lot once he returns. It was only at the back end of 2016 that Penrith really hit their straps.

The Warriors are the most disappointing team in NRL history. So I just exclude them every time.

Nah, it's just a tad suspicious that the Roosters forum contingent exceeds the total size of their fan base.

It's like you guys' version of the Souths membership vs attendance disparity.

The Roosters fan base is huge
But 99% of them are sooky f**king pussies who'd rather watch on TV than go to a game

I think the most disappointing team depends on who you support.

Panthers fans are disappointed in their season... no reason a Roosters fan should be disappointed in it though.

Come the grand final 15 sets of fans will be disappointed their team didnt win... Although we will take some comfort seeing the Broncos and Roosters being eliminated.

I'm hugely disappointed that the Broncos are in the top 4
Does that count?

Yeah... but come back at the end of the Origin period and see how they're looking.

Hunts return came at a perfect time... he will lose confidence taking them from a winning streak to a losing streak.

I feel Canberra are a bigger disappointment this year after their '16 finals campaign.

Yes I feel the same way.

We're gunna start making players that under preform sleep outside.

Its only a hand full of degrees here in the middle of the f**king sunny part of the day.

It is very interesting that the Panthers fans on this thread so few and far between. The honest ones admit that the team has been a huge disappointment. The rest are silent, like their hero Gus Gould, as if they think that if they are uncritical the team will suddenly start playing better and get into the playoffs.
