I remember a big night with you at the Leagues club madman. It was a home game against Parra and you didn't have a Mrs mad in those days. Think it would have been 2004 or 2005. Do you remember Coolum getting up on stage during the bands break.
I remember it well. Mr Angry got up and had a dance with mullet as well.

I remember meeting Frenzy who said he liked my handling of Dragons trolls or some such thing. haha

I met mrs unit at a Sharkies v Dragons game the year after at Kogarah. We went to the sharkies club after the game and chatted with Peach for about an hour. he's a great bloke.

I asked this last year & spider says yes you can vote.
sure you didnt ask regarding the seperate memberships of football as to leagues reefy? to which both can vote

these memberships squad is referring to (i think) are the new supporter memberships (not football / leagues affiliated in terms of membership) ???

is this right BS?

would need to know what they (ones squad refers too) entail - ie: is football membership included? if so, then yes, voting rights assumed as per the constitution

Yeah, they should do a deal with Rydges so the interstate membership includes a discounted night for 2 people for the home game of your choice, or something like that.

after reading ticketing membership and non ticketing membership on the web site - it would appear those ticketing / non ticleting packages are inclusive of football membership

hence, voting rights would be included as its a football membership

has anyone purchased either of those type of packages this year?

and if so - did you receive a membership card with a number?

I asked over the phone and was told all I had to do was turn up, pay $120 bucks and I would be a member of both for 5 years.

Hard to do when you live about 3000km away though!

Will give them a call during the week and join both.

When did they waive the waiting period. Used to be that fater joining the football club you had to wait 3 years to get voting rights.

As far as I know that was in the constitution. Obviously this would stop the supporters of a particular ticket being able to vote come election times. Anti hit and run policy.

never knew there was one captain - which is a good thing

if its good enough for them to take and spend your hard earned on the spot, its good enough to have a say (voting rights) in the club you subscribe too on the spot

and with elections being bi-ennial as passed by members, the board have ample time these days to implement their short term business plans

I think it's still the case Frenzy. I haven't been able to vote at all up until this year (my 3rd year as member)

As a matter of fact Unit, I think the last time this discussion went around on the forum about 3 years ago as it happens a lot of us joined then.

That was the deal with the footy club. No voting for 3 years.

wel if that was the case, its easily side stepped - join the licensed club and claim voting rights straight away

i still dont believe there would be a 3 year grace period considering one board resides both entities, and licensed members can vote

actually to throw a spanner in the works - i believe you CANT be a football club member 'these days' - without being a member of the licensed club

which would make sense

that sounds right. you can be a leagues club member and not a football club member, but you not vice a versa
