I am happier now with Boyd but not with some of our other purchases and thought we could have done better with Bennett.

not sure yet - i guess my vote will be on whether or not we get Darius Boyd. if the bulldogs get him i will start to question the dragons ability to negotiate player deals at a quick enough rate to prevent other clubs from getting in under our toes..
Jeremy smith is a good signing, however i still have doubts over Weyman and Priddis.

I think we have done ok with what was available, truth was there was not much.

We missed out on Mick Ennis and Ben Hannant because the dogs paid massive overs for them - i would be pissed if we paid 350k for Hannant who is ok but pretty fat.

Benny is not a coach he will pay more than what a player is worth and he has shown this.

Would of liked to have nabbed Chris Heinington but thats about it. Not much else on offer.

undecided:

* Smith and Costigan are good signings
* Weyman and Priddis are decent signings
* Head is a good signing provided we are paying him mainly match payments

I still think we are short by one quality back, but we'll see what happens.

Undecided. Time will tell.

I think Bennett is going for a solid team rather than hunting for superstars. It's not like we've let any massive names slip through our fingers.

I agree with you especially on Weyman and Priddis I don't understand them.

Undecided. Still four spots left in the top 25 for next year.

Would like to see us retain Stuart Webb, sign Boyd, another outside back and a half/hooker type.

A unlike Bennett he usually has quite a few superstars in his teams. I think he might struggle next season without any to rely on.

Not sure yet. Disappointed we couldn't get hannant/ennis and heighington would have been a better option than costigan imo. Jeremy Smith is a great signing and should boyd join, i will say that i am happy overall.

Weyman will get a severe pep talk and become a 50-60 minute player
Costigan will score at least 6 tries and scare the bejesus out of a lot of Benji Marshall types
Pridis has real quality
Smith and Costigan make for a formidable back row I agree with others that Ben Creagh may end up a 110 kg prop with speed

I’ve written to Usain Bolt and offered him 30 virgins (mostly from the DA as I know they’ll do anything for the team) if he signs up and the Greek weightlifting coach has been offered Mary’s job if he brings his medicine cabinet along

Heighington was the only real missed opportunity for us, at the time Gasnier was still in the picture, so we probably only had a limited amount of room to move. I'm not fussed about Hannant or Ennis.

If anything I'm probably more disappointed by our failure to retain affordable players - in particular Morris and Setu.

edit: Can I change my answer now Boyd's signed?

I'm more impressed now that Body signed! :) I like the signings of Boyd, Smith and Costigan. ? on Priddis and a big no on Weyman.

I change my vote to undecided now that we have Boyd.

I for one am not yet on the Jeremy Smith bandwagon, Ive seen him do absolutely nothing to earn this rep as a star signing.

H'm,

Pretty happy really, just need 1 more good prop and a really good half, not sure who though.

I believe Wayne now has a lot to play with (so to speak) and we will end up with a formidable team.

Just 1 more prop and a really good half. Please, please.

GO

None going around this season that I'm aware of, we'll have to wait until next season. This was always going to be the case with Gaz's future only confirmed late in the season.

Relatively happy, most of the signings we have got suggest we are building towards something rather than a quick fix.

Seriously, did people honestly think that Bennett was going to come into here, magically deliver the premiership when it took him a number of years with the Broncos? That he was going to bring in all the superstars and attract every single player who comes off contract? Especially when we didn't have enough salary cap space to be competitive on the market?

Considering the situation we were in I think we have done well.
