Dom Young would have stopped Tupou there haha.

Anyone else secretly want Watson to get dropped and regret leaving Newy?

Not really. I mean the guy spoke a lot of hollow words about how much he loved our club and the fans but in the end his actions spoke otherwise. Josh King and Herman Ese’Ese for example never blew smoke up our arses so when they left I was sad but didn’t hold a grudge against them.

Clearly he’s very passionate about the Roosters and playing in largely vacant stadiums, so I wish him all the best at where he truly wanted to be. I don’t wish misfortune on the bloke.

Manly are letting themselves be dominated. We still beat this Roosters side. We took this out of them. I still don’t know why Saab is not playing left alongside Turbo, his speed on the end of Tommy’s left raids would be lethal.
Yeah, nah.

Kidding yourself if you can’t see the improvement in the Roosters side tonight. They were extremely underdone last week. Credit to us as we were good but the Chooks stepped it up a fair bit tonight.

You’d know. Underdone maybe but totally outplayed last week. Whatever you
need to tell yourself. Sure they improved but Manly were appalling tonite. How much dropped ball? 35% ball in the first half. It would be great if we could actually see the corner we turned last week was big. But whatever. I’d hate to see the response in here if we actually do emerge as contenders this year.

Read the game day thread from last week.

Blind Freddy could see the difference in our style in the trials and v Roosters. It’s quite an improvement from one out passing and a shitty kick to end every set.

We turned the corner once the handbrake went to the ESL. I don’t think anyone is arguing anything else.

You seem very emotional that others saw an extremely underdone Roosters side play far from their best and that they improved out of sight this week.

We might do the same too.

Everyone will be stoked if that happens.

Penrith banged up last night. Looks like JFH and To’o could miss the game next week. Cleary not going to be rushed back either.

Would like to see us matched against full strength for a genuine assessment, but the chance of hoarding early season points against the top teams is something I’d be willing to accept, as counterproductive as it may be. 😉

Just about the only 2 highlights for them I'd say.

Tigers were awful. You think our structure was bad last year.. That Tigers team needs to be blown up and re-built.
