Around the Grounds

Seems a bit harsh! 2 NRLW premierships is huge man. That gets them up to a D at least.

Plus, they cleared all our debts right? We have proper training grounds and aren't training at Newy Uni anymore. Plus they bought in the likes of Parr and O'Sullivan. Our home crowd numbers are still top notch.

I think they deserve a C. We were a garbage dump and a half when they first got here.
while all of that is true the only metric is winning and here we are a decade later. There's no prize for pretty training grounds.

Juxtaposed to Penrith in a similar situation to Newcastle . 10 yrs after almost being insolvent they made a GF and are now hoping for a 5th appearance in a row.

Throwing money at the women's team and assembling a winning team is to be commended - Ok I'll give em an F+

Hopefully we can emulate Penrith's success over the next decade. It'd be a huge shame if we never go on a serious title challenge run when we have a Prime Ponga.

If I was Ponga I'd be out the door next contract.

Pains to say it but I see another Gidley, Mullen etc. Kids that gave their career to the club and nothing to show for it, and could have been so much more if they'd taken offers elsewhere.

While I don’t share your sentiment around KP leaving, I would be all for a journalist asking the coach what it is like to have tanked the career of a generational superstar. A player who would make any top four side near unstoppable .

Agreed, I thought he should have gone to the Dolphins last contract tbh. The Hammer is reaping those rewards now.

The club management is unacceptably slow to get it's act together, there is zero sense of urgency to win, and that reflects in the clubs culture and on field performances.

Ponga will be well retired and the club will still not have the fierce determination to be winners, and happy to be making up the numbers.

They've made up and are on better terms as of recently according to Matty - had a recommended video pop-up on Youtube of Matty talking about it while at the Olympics. Said his son Jack drove it (literally, he drove Matty to Joeys place).
Seems like a petty thing to distance yourself from your brother over
Joey can be pretty petulant from what I've seen, but some siblings just be like that really. Not like its their first spat and probably won't be the last. I remember they were on bad terms for ages because Matty felt like he supported Joey during his drug saga but that Joey didn't do the same for Matty during his Sharks NZ bun saga.

Family squabbles are common it’s just in there case it’s very public due to who they are. I’m sure it will all be resolved to make way for another falling out.

Just stopping by to brighten everyone's Friday night up..

This season is on pace to be one of the highest scoring seasons of all time (points scored per team).

Knowing the above information, how does it make you feel to know the Knights rank last? 🥲

You know what. I've said it before but I'll say it again, I hate Jessie Ramien. I think I've never hated a player so much. I can't stand the Sharks doing well because of him.

Don’t think it effects us, Broncos behind us, Cowboys in front, still a very much outside chance, Dragons and Dolphins to lose and of course we must win
The Broncs move to 22 points. Ahead of us. Up to 11th. The absolute essential thing for tomorrow is that we need to win by 9 points or more to leapfrog the Titans and Raiders. Currently we are -105. The Titans -98 and the Raiders -97. we are relying on the Dogs to knock the Dragons off tonight by 16. Drags are currently -90. So pray that score line of 26-10
Stays as is. I know. It is convoluted. So if my very average maths is right we have a good mathematical chance If we can start winning. Games by decent margins. I cannot see it but it is an outside chance. The closeness of the F and A will be a discussion point between all the sides on the 22-26 points. It makes for exciting finish to the year. The advantage of playing later in The week now becomes a factor too. Cos it will define whether they openly attack or choose to defend their way to the two points knowing how close each side is.

If these side all keep winning then it will be a cracker final few weeks. It almost resembles a relegation battle.

Someone will fall. And two pts Separates us all. It is actually incredible how close it is.
It could in theory be us vs the Dolphins for the final Spot on Old Boys Day! Can you imagine how good that game would be:
