So before the start of the season the media "experts" rated us as much of a chance of winning this years comp as the majority of us in here. Once the revised post-Covid draw was announced the same media talked us up because we had an 'easy draw' (but not as easy as the Panthers) and because our start post-Covid reflected our draw and saw us sitting in 1st place at the half way mark.
Then as we struggled through the latter half of the comp, the same media rode us hard even though all we did was settle back into the spot they originally forecast we would finish the comp in.

Not to be outdone, the same media gave us wraps for our losing performance in Week 1 of the semis because we lost both wingers and had major reshuffles but managed to keep wonder team Melbourne (led by Sir Craig and Lord Cameron) to a 12 point margin and we scored one point less than their top team had conceded since the corresponding game 2 years earlier.

A week later we go up against the media's darlings who are in great form, and we keep their most lauded player (Walker) quiet all game. We lose our top centre the morning of the game to a drug related suspension and we lose this game after leading at half time. Yep, we made some dumb errors and didn't deserve to win it. Absolutely.

But for the media "experts" to now come out with shit about "sacking the coach" and how his "days are numbered" is nothing more than an attempt to sell papers/clicks.

And some people on here will happily buy the bullshit.

If BA thought he had a roster capable of winning a premiership, why were 30% of them just farewelled?

We have deficincies in our 2019 and 2020 squad and BA knows it. The first half of this year was simply Covid smoke and mirrors.
