I reckon a 50% career winning rate is pretty impressive, considering some of the spud sides that BA has been in charge of...

From 2016 onwards we have had a pretty decent side.

But prior to that, we had years of shit sandwiches, which would have lowered his stats.

I've gone off BA a bit as coach, but credit where it's due - he took over a basket case of a club, and slowly turned our fortunes around.

Yea, 2014 and 15 weren't great sides but I wouldn't say they were shit sandwiches. Ricky Stuart actually cleared out some dead wood and bought some decent players for when Arthur got here in 2014. 2011-2013 were f**king terrible but he wasn't coach then.

Given the players available at the time, the performances from those 2014 and 2015 sides was pretty poor.

BA has done a good job to rebuild the side, but he inherited some ordinary squads early on.

And I'm no BA fan.

Ahh 2015

The game where we were 24-6 up against NQ at HT, and then 30-6 into the 2nd half

To lose the game 30-36

Who were Ricky's big successes?
- Norman had some good times but mostly trouble
- his english recruits for us were shockers
- peats, meh
- edwards had some good times but also bad shit
- mau went good. I think he was a ricky one
- I would credit ricky with bringing paulo on, and while he left for a while i think ricky gets some props for paulo
- dunno how much ricky had to do with semi

I dont think ricky did our cap any good at all ... he called out some players off contract, so what, happens all the time. He also called out a bunch not off contract and we ended up with digruntled cap wastage that put us in a shit position and contributed to our cap disaster.

While i agree BA has definite startegy limits, i think BA does very well with aquiring decent talent ... and keeping the cap under control.

2016 was a disaster and required an enormous rebuild ... to keep a competative squad since 2016 is pretty impressive I think. 2018 is still a disaster i cant explain, but otherwise we are a competative team, but obviously not the cream.

Itd be interesting to see coach win %s since 2016 .... how many are above 50%?

Of our 2017 side that played in the finals match against the storm, Stuart was only responsible for recruiting 2 players (Norman and Edwards) BA was response for 10. Five were here pre Stuart.

1. Will Smith 2. Semi Radradra 3. Michael Jennings 4. Brad Takairangi 5. Kirisome Auva'a 6. Corey Norman 7. Mitchell Moses 8. Daniel Alvaro 9. Cameron King 10. Tim Mannah 11.Manu Ma'u 12. Tepai Moeroa 13. Nathan Brown 14. Beau Scott 15. Kenny Edwards 16. Siosaia Vave 17. Suaia Matagi

I will never forget that game, my inconsiderate 2nd daughter decided to arrive 3 weeks early at half time, so I missed the fade out, thought we had won for sure, I still blame her for the loss.

I'm going to blame her too now..
