says on the nth qld thread that strong chance that ash graham is coming to the storm

i can see the storms logic as folau, geyer, macdougall all gone so we r light on for back up in the centres plus tomane is still very raw, so they want strong back up - and he does fit the bill

but i want peoples thoughts on him as i know he will thrive down here as most would with the 1,6,7,9 we have and bellamy! but so would any1 look better when at the storm but is he quailty? is he origin material?

PS. at the time i didnt care but now im sad we misssed out on luke lewis as imagine having him and GI alternate between centre and 5-8 like geyer and inglis do now!! oh that would be unstoppable! as GI would continue his awesome form and lewis would be even better than he is this season!

he is definetly one that got away!!!

but back to ash graham? good signing?

Would be an excellant signing.

Very fast, solid in defence and breaks tackles...was one of hte best backs in the comp last year.

1. Billy Slater
2. Steve Turner
3. Will Matthews
4. Ashley Graham
5. Anthony Quinn
6. Greg Inglis
7. Cooper Cronk

Great backline yet again.

He is prone to making a lot of errors (including bad reads in defense).

His attack is decent though.

Graham is a proven tryscorer and has been solid for Cowboys...I would see him as another Quinn who took a while to find his foot at Storm but has turned into a very good player.

I say Storm should sign him.

Ash is a great player,if you play him in the right decision - I'm looking at you Millward!

He's fast, got great support and can bust tackles - Only problem is his reads in defence can be a flaw.
Wish him all the luck.

He won't be far off representing Queensland either,he was a potential back up player in Origin this year.

Dud, not tough enough for bellamy. He will cringe when Dallas johnson lines him up in their 1 on 1 defence drills.

Doesn't Will Matthews play for the Titans

Lay off him!

Ash is a phenomenal attacking player - in 2007 he was only behind Matty Bowen and Izzy Folau in the tryscoring list.

He makes a few errors, especially in defence, but all the great players are only consistently good players - inconsistency is his problem.

You kept Manu Sika, its only fair we keep Ash

Completly agree with this comment, and I would be happy with his signing, but I would much prefer a 5/8th to let Inglis move out to the centres. What 5/8ths are on the market?

Bellamy won't do this...GI will stay in the 5/8 possie which IMO is a waste but if they winning then why change it ??.;-)
