Never mind that. The bowling?

I like that England have picked some quicker blokes. Some concern over Wood but that might be media wind piss. But Archer not playing much first class? Botham has said it out loud already, the preparation doesn't seem right. Overall things don't sound too crash hot.

Ollie Robinson playing for USYD is no surprise haha. He is the back up pacemen to the squad. You could say an industry plant. Bottom line we all know why he is there. He is England's insurance and the proud establishment of USYD have facilitated this to happen. Investigation required? Someone call Geoff Toovey.

If our bats play well, rest looks after itself

Green has to step up for mine, averaging mid 30s , he needs to climb this series

Carey, Smith and Marnus are in good nick. Head will do what Head does

Really wrapt lot of these guys have played some competitive red ball just before the ashes, shouldnt be caught with our pants down like the 1st test last summer

England’s best chance at winning a Test in Australia for years. Will be hilarious if we beat them.

No Hazelwood, no Cummins…. Wow, English always a chance, but if they don’t win against Australia missing two unquestionably great fast bowlers, they’re likely toast, if they lose just call it 5-0 and be done

How the hell did he almost score a double test ton against us is beyond me

Stokes despite the only one on tour with a test ton down under, averages 28.61 in Australia in 9 tests
Stokes is not an ultra consistent cricketer, especially with the willow. He’s a guy who can play a crazy match winning knock every here and there, and thrives in the big moment.

He’s not a guy who is going to score 5 centuries in a series.

Pfft how would he know its a shit pitch when he spent 85% of the game off the ground with back pain.

That is what I'm thinking.

I see both angles with Usman. Nothing wrong with a hot take and having an opinion. He is entitled to have one.

But we are trying to win an Ashes series. Let the English whinge about pitches. We don't need any press about us making excuses.

Usman has one foot in the door of retirement.

Uzzie says the Perth pitch was shithouse. I'd prefer he played a straight bat to the question.

Something tells me he is ready to retire.

To be fair he way only talking about day 1

But yeah we won the test and as a current (team) player the last thing he should be doing is having a cry, leave that to the opposition

I'm old school with press stuff. We won the game so just palm off questions about the pitch.

Khawaja and others will say the comments don't mean a lot but to me its just extra bullshit in the papers. He is smart enough to know how to dodge the question.
