what was your favourite moment of 2016? Shark related of course.

For me it was beating Canberra down there with no Gal, Graham and against all odds in the semis. The look on Ricky Stuart's face was priceless. f**k him.

Also enjoyed piling on the points against Brisbane in round 8 or something like that, and the early season hiding of the Stains.

Was a good year to be a Shark!

Raiders semi.

Also the game against Panthers at Penrith with none of our origin players, everyone stood up that day, in a match if we lost we had a ready made excuse

Putting Newcastle to the sword. We were ruthless! In years gone by we would have won that by 4 points but this team just kept twisting the knife. That and the 2nd game against the Pennies another classy performance.

The Pennies game at their home ground was my fave.
Those boys really stood up and showed the character of the team .
They knew they weren't first choice for the team but they were no way going to let anyone down.
Top shelf stuff.

Game:
The Cowboys semi (when we finally conquered some demons), which I thought epitomised our season:

Start slow on the scoreboard;
Go on an almighty rampage;
& when the job is done, cruise to the finish line with next week in sight.

Moment:
The Maloney intercept try, it brought a tear to my eye, as I knew no choke big enough could stop us making it.

3 memorable moments for me. The Broncos game and the Knights game for 2 different personal reasons plus both games were awesome from an attack style of game.

The Cows Prelim sticking it to all the Qld bandwagon merkins, fucxk I hate that shit (not genuine Cows supporters)

The big dance.

Storm loss in round 26. I knew we had their measure right then. We played around them and all and sundry praised melbournes defence.
Flanno just sat back and rubbed his hands together knowing that we weren't going to play that way in a game that mattered.

Also the first 40 of the cows semi. That was perfectikn

Cowboys game, the sheer atmosphere ,speed of the game and the pent up emotions of near 36,000 Shark's fans, after the win.Chad vindicated,BBQ's killing it.The bus trip home. The first real taste of taking the micky out of the viking clap.Plus first time I have been with my daughter at a game for years.Bus trip home and the huge amount of bird shit on my car's roof, all added to the day's colour.
All set as the tasty entree to the big one at ANZ.

I didn't bother to watch the Raider's game,I thought we were in trouble. Then a mate rings me ,telling me we won.Got back my faith there and then.

The rnd26 game against Melbourne we won every state except the one that mattered. We hold the ball that night and we win comfortably.
Was happy to be playing them in the big dance.

Knights game for sure... 62-blot. What a day.

There was some amazing rugby league played that day.

We didn't score many at the start or finish of the game but f**k we laid it on in between.

Absolute pleasure to have been there, after witnessing losses 9 times out of 10 & copping plenty of shit from Knights fans over the years.

Was particularly fun copping a gobful of abuse from a guy high up in the stands...then we'd score yet again & shut him up for the next few minutes.

Yes, the scoreboard did not reflect the game at all.

First half of the Broncs game at home.
Beating Melbourne at home and giving Cooper and Smithy the shits for the first (and not the last ) time this year.
The Pennies away.

Cowboys final was insane. Was like a party.

Cowboys win at home was mental - you kinda believed it. That Val Holmes try when we were behind sent the ground shaking.

2 or 3 times I left Shark Park this year and said it was the loudest and best atmosphere I'd seen there. What a special year.
