Athletic Back-Rowers

This thread is weird. Which backrowers aren't athletic? fmd I'm sure 90% of backrowers these days are more athletic than Bob Lindner.

iirc they did that "fastest player at each club" thing in RLW in 2004, Gallen, Hoffman, Watmough and SBW come to mind as backrowers who run 40m in under 5 seconds. SBW was actually the fastest player at the Bulldogs at the time including both backs and forwards (and that was their 2004 premiership winning team).

Exactly, its a stupid question, an athletic backrower, you have to be a little athletic to play in the backrow, im positive all backrowers have it in them and must to be able to play that position, about any second rower can be named as an answer to this question.

Also (yes, I'm quoting myself) I read an article in 2005 or 2006 where Roy Asotasi said it was a race between him and SBW for fastest at the club, both doing 40m in a shade under 5 seconds, with none of the backs up to the challenge.

Anyway regardless, Hindmarsh is far and away the best, goes all day, and sometimes all day the next day. Luke O'Donnell is another...Ryan Hoffman, Dallas Johnson, SBW, Feleti Mateo, Glenn Morrison (although he's not in the NRL obviously) Paul Gallen, Lance Thomson...the list could go on and on
