Updated from Knights game:

First 30:
Trys scored = 13
Trys conceeded = 9

Mid 30:
Trys scored = 9
Trys conceeded = 19

Final 20:
Trys scored = 8
Trys conceeded = 12

Again we concede a try straight after half time (43rd min) taking the total to 6 straight after the resumption.

Wouldn't that suggest that they are not listening to a word from Mary's halftime speeches ? Lost the dressing room !

Hopefully Mary doesn't have any benches in his backyard. He is appalling at 'managing' his bench. Other teams would know that you attack Saints through the middle when Vaughan is off, especially if Graham and Latimore are left on together (slower than a rainy day!), and you attack out wide if Aitken comes on the field.

I still can't fathom the reasoning behind the rushed 2yr extension for McGregor and after delving into his for and against stats since taking over they aren't anything to warrant any thought of him coaching our team. I've researched our for and against and ladder position (at regular seasons end) since we became a JV:

McGregor (2014 - present - tenure 6yrs)
2014: 469 points for / 528 points against (-59) - ladder 11th
2015: 435 points for / 408 points against (+27) - ladder 8th
2016: 341 points for / 538 points against (-197) - ladder 11th
2017: 533 points for / 450 points against (+88) - ladder 9th
2018: 519 points for / 472 points against (+47) - ladder 7th
2019*: 430 points for / 543 points against (-113) - ladder 13th -14th
*based on current and averaged for the remaining 4 games
Overall: Average points for 454 / average points against 490 (-36) - average ladder position 10th

Price (2012 - 2013 - tenure 2yrs*)
2012: 405 points for / 438 points against (-33) - ladder 9th
2013: 379 points for / 530 points against (-151) - ladder 14th
*not including up to may 2014
Overall: average points for 392 / average points against 484 (-92) - average ladder position 12th

Bennett (2009 - 2011 - tenure 3yrs)
2009: 548 points for / 329 points against (+219) - ladder 1st
2010: 518 points for / 299 points against (+219) - ladder 1st
2011: 483 points for / 341 points against (+142) - ladder 5th
Overall: average points for 516 / average points against 323 (+193) - average ladder position 2nd

Brown (2003 - 2008 - tenure 6yrs)
2003: 548 points for / 593 points against (-45) - ladder 10th
2004: 624 points for / 415 points against (+209) - ladder 5th
2005: 655 points for / 510 points against (+145) - ladder 2nd
2006: 519 points for / 481 points against (+38) - ladder 6th
2007: 431 points for / 509 points against (-78) - ladder 13th
2008: 502 points for / 378 points against (+124) - ladder 7th
Overall: average points for 546 / average points against 481 (+65) - ladder 7th

Waite & Farrer (1999 - 2002 - tenure 4yrs)
1999: 588 points for / 416 points against (+172) - ladder 6th
2000: 576 points for / 656 points against (-80) - ladder 9th
2001: 661 points for / 573 points against (+88) - ladder 7th
2002: 632 points for / 546 points against (+86) - ladder 7th
Overall: average points for 614 / average points against 547 (+67) - average ladder position 7th

Just highlights how good Bennett was Even Brown had good numbers.

But how bad are the numbers for Price and McGregor, even so, Price had a lower overall average points against and yet extension for McGregor was chorused as if his stats were those of Bennett. I truly wish they were but facts are facts, we are well and deeply into nepotism and head-in-the-sand tactics by our Board and CEO.
I fear 2020, no Widdop, no JDB (again), probably a few more moving on, same block plays, same 5 hit ups then kick. Only the end of 2021 seemingly light years away but the shadow of Barrett is looming large. Tough times to be a Dragons fan.

I agree that Dragonslayer should send his stats to the club and journos. He certainly has done his research, well done!

I cannot provide any stats, but I think that our future does not bode very well I am afraid as per the reasons Dragonslayer has given.

Why is it every year we looking forward to a player leaving or retiring because that is the only way they will not get picked in the starting squad? From Marketo, McCrone, Latimore etc. It usually should be a sad day for a guy to leave or retire from the club but for us fans at the Dragons it is a celebration.

I wonder who it will be next season. Lats took the prize this year. I Allgood takes Lats spot then I am sure he will be the winner.

I still don't get how Lawrie and Host got dropped and Latimore hasn't? I actually thought Host was playing ok at one stage.
