I think you're about right there Evil Homer. It's quite amazing to see the jump in coverage for rugby union when the Six Nations comes around. And its a competition like that which League could really use. Also, you sure cricket isn't 2nd most watched? Or did you mean domestic cricket-wise?

I meant domestic, although RL is usually Sky Sports top draw each week during the summer regardless of what else is on.

Been sort of interested in finding out why Wigan don't nudge the 20k mark at the JJB more often? Has their attendance dropped over a period of time, or is it steady? Contributing factors?

Is there any thought of Rovers moving their bigger games to the KC?

Domestic cricket is usually watched by three old men and a spinster from Kent.

Well, I was referring to ratings obviously; I find it hard to believe crickets ratings are as bad as you make it out to be. Considering its the 2nd most popular sport according to media coverage, must be doing something right

Because, like rugby union, there's an old boys network at play in the English media. Domestic cricket is only shown on Sky so their ratings will be tiny, it's only Test cricket that gets shown nationally. Most people can't be arsed to watch a five day Test. Cricket has very little following in Scotland and not much in Wales.

These are the ratings for that week. Not much in it and the domestic will be down around 70/80k when the season starts.

:x:x:x Feck 'em. They are the "Pride of East Hull" (that's no claim to fame, believe me). Let them fester on their side of the city.

Presumably Hull KR ratepayers paid for their share of the stadium too though, not just Hull and Hull City ratepayers?

Saturday 21st Feb
Celtic vs Hull FC - 5,272
Warrington vs Catalan - 7,947

Aparently only 1k from Hull went down so 4k+ home fans isnt a bad start to say last year it was around 1.5k IIRC and they have lost thier 1st 2 games.

Hull KR were offered a place in the stadium but turned it down. Think it went to the fans too but the KC is on the wrong side of the city

I can see that there would be a hard core who wouldn't want to share, but it would surely make financial sense to play 2-3 of the bigger games a year there.

They would only break the 20k mark against St Helens, and with there start this season i doubt to see them getting even 15k atm..

Presumably Hull and Hull City ratepayers paid for their share of the school land the red and white East Hull scum were given when they left the original caravan park. Presumably Hull and Hull City ratepayers also paid for the sponsorship the scum had with a council owned company. Please don't make assumptions about either team from 12,000 miles away. We don't want them and they don't want to come to the KC. ;-) East is East and West is West and never the twain shall meet.
