I know we beat the cows but we were still fcking terrible. The cows scored when they wanted and it was only their mistakes, not our defense (apart from the last set) that stopped them scoring.

Our defence was still diabolical. As mentioned Lovett and Buchanan are truly horrible. Lovetts miss on Wright for the cows last try...I can't even...Buchanan just has nothing. He is slow and out of his depth. These guys shouldn't even be depth players, if they are in our 25 we may aswell give up.

Few positives:

* Chee Kam looks promising. Big, fast and has some skill
* naquima and Simona looked slick
* thought littlejohn was good in the second game
* griffin had 2 good offloads in the first game, quickly dropped for the second

I'm not sure about Chee Kam. He looks good but I'm not sure he is big enough for the forwards or fast enough for the backs.

Naqaima and Simona are quality NRL players. If they are fit I just don't see the centre's being an issue.

Addo-Carr looks lightning quick. Griffin looked like he could off load at will but he isn't big for a NRL forward.

The whole tournament is really poor tbh. Results a lottery more often than not due to freak plays and weird bounces.
A lot of has beens, never weres/will bes and kids playing which contributes to the low quality, never mind that no one has even played a trial game as of yet.
That said, we beat one of the better teams on paper this afternoon, so that's something.

We need to give him a shot at it don't we. We need to have some weapons out there and try to win games rather than plod along and hope we win.

This isn't funny is it. Lets hope Addo-Carr gets a run. A backline of:-

1. Tedesco
2. Addo-Carr
3. SImona
4, Naiqama
5. Nofo
6. Moses
7. Brooks

looks pretty good. Defensively there are a lot of liabilities there. Brooks, Moses, Carr, Nofo, Naiqama under the high ball but if they work on their defence and get it right which includes the forwards going well we may be able to win some games.

I'm worried about Taylor going into this season. If we get the same crap that he dished up last year we could be gone.

My thoughts exactly macnaz. Koro is the only one who did get into the top side and we are still banging on about him leaving the club....Big T could have been our next TNT!!!

I don't know whether Addo-Carr will get the opportunity or not but as we all said about Koro, he might let one or two in but if he is scoring three I am prepared to wear that.

I quite like that backline Tiger 05, I agree, if all are firing there are a lot of points in them. It is the defence of our halves that I hope improves this year. I am hoping some of the changes to the forwards allow them to provide the protection they need.

Lets see where Taylor does go with the selections....

a measuring stick would be how many games did Lovett, Buchanan and Milone combined play in the year.

0-5 - we've probably had a good year
5-10 - maybe a decent year
10-20 - missed the 8
20 > fighting to avoid the spoon

I dont even know WHY he was even given a 2 YEAR contract until the end of 2017 . Regardless of the amount he is not NRL worthy and doesnt even show any glimmer of potential worthy of wasting valuable cap space . He may very well be a lovely bloke but he is f**king average on a football field. Just when u hear all the BS about diligence with player signings we still have this type of crap signing. LOOK at the nines and the talent , speed and power displayed by all the sides depth players and we have so much worthless f**king Plod signed up on our books its making me sick.
Go to any country town and small work horse forwards are a dime a dozen , we need backs with speed and skill not more lame 1 dimensional hacks that cant make a dominant tackle !
