yeah

there was definitely no aboriginal side in the last RLWC

but if there was it would be more competitive than over half those nations in the yawnion world cup

An indigenous team would beat nearly every nation in the RWC and in an RLWC, which is one main reason why many people would never want to see Aboriginal sporting teams take the field in the main sports that Aussies compete in.

Actually with American rugby clubs there is more than 1700 across the country. The biggest growth area has been in the high schools were American kids are starting to take part in the sport.

It is when you think league has been around for about the same time.

Bit of a sweeping statement that Joker. I'm sure it came out wrong, and your not really accusing people of being racist.

league was played in USA for one or two years in the 50's

then didnt make a return till the 90's

once again a yawnion fan tries to put a "spin on things"

Then you have to ask yourself why it wasn't played in the intervening years.

No one cared about it thats way.

Union has only lasted in the US because there are people there who care about the game and want it to grow. They have done alot of it without IRB help and in many cases had to raise the money themselves in order to fund rugby related things.

Oh yes union is planning for a professional league. In fact they were supposed to get one off the ground next year, but they struggled to get enough sponsors after September 11. So they have being delayed.

I doubt that a league can setup a professional comp in the US. Union has had a difficult time and league won't be in the reckoning. You haven't got a player base to source from, how many play league in the US? 80-100? they are union players anyway.
