In Pontings defence this bowling attack not only lacks penetration but does not build pressure at all. England can just sit back and wait for the bad ball an over.

Not only a bad ball but bad fielding or just an easy single ball. Ponting is an average captain at best but Mark Taylor would struggle with this bowling attack. It is a captains nightmare because they just dont build pressure.

Aussies have been pathetic all day, pace attack is weak. Siddle is showing that day 1 was just a fluke. Johnson has lost the plot and needs to go now and Watson was bowling wide poo. Hilfenhaus has been ok but disappointing overall. Doherty giving it his all but his all isn't much by the looks of it. A draw is the best result from here I reckon.

Mostly true, I can't believe he has only bowled 8 overs FFS. He did take one 5 wicket haul in the 4th test last ashes but that is it... He has been ordinary against England.

Well Ponting was the one that wanted Siddle, hes one of those lottery bowlers. And we know he wanted Johnson so really only has himself to blame. He essentially picked Doherty as well and probably had a say in getting his other Tassie buddy in Hilfy there. Hilfy looks great but doesn't get enough wickets for my liking, Doherty is solid though so no complaints with him.
