Their scrum turned into a rolling maul.... enough said.
Our forwards got bashed. Their #1 Sheridan and #2 Thompson are what front rowers suppose to be, they scrum so well that it turns from a simple feed into a 15 metre rolling maul. Sheridan is a bullly of a runner, and Thompsons work rate is that of a flanker. If he could throw he'd be the best hooker in the world.
Our backs are good I don't think theirs anything wrong with them, it's the forwards and Gregan who need to be replaced. It looks like the youngsters are still too green to save us, which is the problem.

yeah that sums it up well

I can't believe everyone is panning Gregan after match. If you look at just the match, Gregan couldn't have done much more. He played very well. When Whitaker came on, Australia lost all direction, and Whitaker himself was responsible for a number of missed opportunities, opportunities that Gregan, on evidence, would have taken.

The problem is the NSW front row. I'm amazed Dunning made it to first grade for Eastwood, let alone the Wallabies without ever knowing how to scrummage. It's something I've been saying for years, but nobody agreed. Good to see everyone else is finally working the same thing out.

Changes ARE needed for next week, with Cannon, Dunning and Baxter the first to go. Who to bring in? I don't know. Fitter has only played 180 minutes of rugby this year. Nic Henderson is on his way over to cover for Dunning, perhaps he would be an option? Although the Brumbies scrum suffered from the same problems as the Wallabies scrum this year... realistically though there aren't many options.

All I can say is thank god it's Ireland.. we should win no matter who's on the park.

The Wallabies should have brought some up and coming props. There were some prop that were plucked from the U19 to play for the Tahs. These guys had potential. This is who we should have brought. How much worse could they do then our current set of props.

The problem with Gregan is that he's so one dimensional.
A class halfback typically
1.Puts the opposition in 2 minds
2.Gets quick ball for the backs

Gregan does neither.
Gregan has a solid passing game at best but his kicking game is poor, and running game is non existent these days hence the opposition are already lining up Rogers and co even before Gregan gets his hands on the ball. What makes things worse is that Gregan typically takes two little stutter steps backward to clear the ruck before passing the ball, this really cuts down the time that the fly half has

That sums up Gregan. Whenever I watch the Wallabies player and then the ABs you see a huge difference in what the halfback does.
