The ARL already staged a game between the Kangaroos and the ROTW team in 1997. The Kangaroos won 28-8 and we didn't lose any credibility.

Was there much credibility to be lost? Not really. No one really cared.

The game has grown massively since then, on a huge scale. People are starting to reject the notion that Int.RL is 'dead'. But its still fragile to an extent. A result where Australia runs rings around the best of the world could very much take us backwards.
