why does it have to be australia v rest of the world

australia, png and nz are really part of asia

do it like the cricketers
and have ASIA v ROW

asia could include, aus, nz, png, plus a player from japan

row could include pacific islands and europe

HOWEVER THE ICC DID AN AMAZING JOB TO ORGANISE THIS EVENT
IN JUST 10 days

THE RLIF, NRL and ESL couldnt hold an event like this with 4 years to get it organised!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People havent included Hindmarsh cause of his back injury, but it hasnt been organised yet the match and also he wont be for that long. For the rest of the world side I think its gotta have at least 4 countries represented rather than have a side thats just Kiwis and Poms.

Rest of the world:

1. Paul Wellens (Eng)
2. Brian Carney (Ire)
3. Keith Senior (Eng)
4. Vinnie Anderson (NZ)
5. Marcus Bai (PNG)
6. Danny Maguire (Eng)
7. the french halfback?? (Fra)
8. Paul Rauhihi (NZ)
9. Robbie Paul (NZ)
10. Stuart Fielden (Eng)
11. Tony Puletua (NZ)
12. Andy Farrell (Eng)
13. Sonny Bill Williams (NZ)

14. Iestyn Harris (Wal)
15. Djamel Fakir (Fra)
16. Adrian Morley (Eng)
17. Ruben Wiki (NZ)

Reserves:

18. Nathan Cayless (NZ)
19. Sean O'Loughlin (eng)

hopefully they'll organise a match like this in the next year or so, and it's GOT TO BE IN AUSTRALIA. :D

PNG yes but not the others. Australia is on its own continent and NZ isn't even anywhere near. I don't even wanna now how you got to that idea, these two countries belong to Oceania, period.

Australia may be have its own continent
but it is still recognised as being part of asia

Australia has applied to become a member of ASEAN (association of south east asian nations)

Isnt OCEANIA also often referred to as Australasia????

Somebody also wrote into the telegraph this morning, saying that it was wrong for australians to play in the world cricket side - they should have been playing in the ASIAN side!!!

so im not the only one

either way an ASIA v RLIF WORLD 13 would be much better

than aus v world - boring

I think we're all missing the point. This game ain't gonna happen. Better off making the World Club Challenge or Charity Shield as fund raisers.

Rest Of The World:

1. Iestyn Harris
2. Paul Wellens
3. Martin Gleeson
4. Nigel Vagana
5. Brian Carney
6. Danny McGuire
7. Stacey Jones
8. Paul Rauhihi
9. Robbie Paul
10. Stuart Fielden
11. Tony Puletua
12. Adrian Morley
13. Andrew Farrell

14. Sonny Bill Williams
15. Ruban Wiki
16. Djamel Fakir
17. Jamie Peacock

AUSTRALIA:
1. Matthew Bowen
2. Luke Rooney
3. Willie Tonga
4. Matt Cooper
5. Anthony Minichello
6. Darren Lockyer
7. Matt Orford
8. Jason Ryles
9. Danny Buderus
10. Luke Bailey
11. Andrew Ryan
12. Craig Fitzgibbon
13. Ben Kennedy

14. Craig Wing
15. Shane Tronc
16. Trent Waterhouse
17. Petro Civoniceiva

A few Guys making their debuts, like Tronc and Orford, but I think they up to the task. Given O'meley, Mason are injured and I think Webcke is a bit old for representative football and I think it'd hurt him to play this match, i've left him out.

I think it'd be a great attacking match.

No Hindmarsh ?

Well the match hasnt been confirmed, as I mentioned before, so Hindmarsh could be fit to play when they have a match.

The match hasn't been confirmed? Has it been been talked about among the NRL< RFL etc??? I think somone on here has just made the idea up. Don't think it will happen.

Yes well everyone is making out it will happen which is interesting, cause I'd like to see a match like this, it might not happen, but it'll great to see the world's best players line up against each other.

This match will never happen.

What a dagger in the heart of International RL it would be when AUS pump the Rest of the World team.

Might as well have a NSW residents V QLD residents match as a fundraiser where kiwis would play for the state they reside in.

Ultimately the best time to play this match would be soon after the World Cup final - i.e. the World Cup Champions vs the Rest of the World team; failing that, it would be after the Tri Series final - the 3N champions vs the Rest of the World team.

Why would you wait another 3 years to have a charity match?
