not if Kimmorley plays again

And if Lockyer does.... Then what are you gonna do?

Lets be serious though boys, you lot do occasionally win the odd match against us, but we had you in most of the stats and if lockyer is back in the final it's gonna be ALOT tougher... lets not forget it's been 35 YEARS since you last won a series against us and you haven't ended it yet so don't get too cocky mate ;)

It's quite sad the amount of moaning and excuses we've seen coming out of the Australians during this tournament. International Rugby League hasn't looked this good in a long time and yet all we hear from Australia is bitching about pitch sizes and the like and even threatening not to compete in the tournament again if they don't get their way over referee selections. It's good to see at least two countries are trying to get International league back on track.

We are bored of smashing poms and kiwis. When was the last time the poms or kiwis beat the Kangaroos in Aust. We always seem to play internationals away. This is to give these teams half a chance. Was it last year we played the poms at Aussie stadium and beat them by 50.

Its good to see the poms making international game interesting BUT they only seem to do it on their own soil.

Exactly right. Poms and Kiwis take note.

Cheers.

Aussies can't hide behind the 'we are made to play away' excuse because it is the Australian authorities who are refusing to stage international matches in their own back yard. Carr was moaning last week about how international matches at this time of year wouldn't be noticed back home.

The ARL would need to market a potential series properly. They would get the crowds.....no doubt about it, probably nothing above 40,000, but certainly enough to make a TRI Series down under financially viable.

A little bit of faith in taking it down under is needed, once fans in Australia get used to it being part of the Rugby League calender, the crowds will improve.

Agreed.

The three main problems, IMO, are:

1. More focus here on the domestic season and SOO, unfortunately Test Football isn't really promoted/perceived amongst the masses as the pinnacle of Rugby League in Australia, yet it is for other countries.

2. Promotion - If the NRL won't promote our game within our own country, then I can't see the ARL doing any better.

3. Exposure - Australian League fans get treated to little or no Test Football. 1 game a year of late, and that game is played at the most annoying and wrong time. The more good, quality Test Football that is played here, the better.

There is of course, the general perception that our International game is not very strong - with Australia the clear leader with the odd loss to NZ and GB on a bad day.

We need to get more Test footy here to change all these perceptions.

With proper planning, promotion and exposure, the Tri-Nations would be massive for Rugby League in Australia. Getting the blokes who run the game to be a tad more proactive will be the biggest challenge.

Cheers.

We are not hiding but all I am saying is that the kangaroos win in other countries more often then not in all conditions. The Kiwis and the Poms will NEVER be regarded as the best until they start winning away from home on a dry pitch.
