Who likes this show? I think it gets a really bad wrap from people on here. The top five this year have been pretty talented. The two guys left are pretty damn good performers too.

Never been a fan of the show at all, but I've been watching this year simply because of Wes Carr. The dude has panache. The hosts and judges and most of the other performers still give me the irrits but Wes is class.

usually dont like it or watch it, my girlfriend is obsessed with it so has had me watching it every so often. That Wes dude should win, he's outstanding, the best ive seen on that show ever... which admittable isnt much

As long as they stick to 2dayfm and video hits then the concept doesnt bother me, its when they try and invade some of the festivals etc, robbing a good backyard band who are talented of some exposure. These pricks are media hogs and basically it is an overgloryfied karaoke contest.

idol hijacks the music industry. they buy thousands of copies on the winners cd so it goes straight to number one. then all the teenage girls go and buy it cause if its number one it must be cool right? (wrong) i will never give any of my time to that show. i hate it more then big brother, and i hated big brother so much it kept me up and night sometimes

I don't want to ruin the magic....but all bands buy up big on their own CD's.

not the ones i listen to. and the idol franchise are without doubt amongst the biggest exponents of it. either way top 40 music these days is crap. i never listen to the radio, but a guy from my work had it on the other day, and a couple of the songs.... i simply couldn't believe that they were ever allowed out of the studio.

the judges are has beens or in kyles case never has or will be.

that hines chick...only likes the black conestents and female conestents...and never has anything bad to say.

the fat merkin kyle is a nobody..why the f**k does he advice people on their ability to sing?

and the other knob...i cant even remember but is prolly a nice person.

only reason i see the thing is because my sis in-law watches it...we got a few tvs but thats the only one with foxtel and it is hers so yeh..i just sit there with my ipod on and then occasional pause to hear whats going on.

that guys version of turn the page was horrendous.

whoever gets in the top 10 or w/e immediatley tell their agents to rid the dirty image and association of Aus idol from them.

Anyway a hard-working club&pub circuit singer/songwriter/muso won the comp this year which must go some way towards dispelling the idea of vacuous spotlight-seeking karaoke nobody's. From my viewpoint there's a good chance that Wes will break the mould and make some music worth listening to
