I like how people complain about the side not being picked on form yet pretty much the main players they want out of the side are the Broncos. It seems if your a Bronco and not Lockyer you have no right playing a test. If your not a Bronco you can be out of form and it's still ok to be picked

What about the out of form players in Tonga, Ryles, Rooney, Wing, and Fitzgibbon?

The Anzac team this year has been picked exacally the same way as last year.

Based on the previous years form.

It looks like Priddis is a very popular choice amongst you people. This has been a long time coming... well done Mutley!

Also, Rooney is still a Roo!

Rooney has been quiet this year, but he really stepped up in the Tri-Nations last year, probably will do it again this year.

I like Rooney, as he has all the attributes to being a great winger! And so long as Luke Lewis is nowhere near the test side I go home VERY happy! 8)

There are no real surprises in this team and those who got the job done in 2004 have been rewarded with another jersey...most have been in good form over the past 2 weeks.

IMO, Luke Bailey has been shafted big time here as he has been brilliant in a struggling side from Round 1 of the competition. What a turnaround from the Australian selectors here with O'Meley! Last season after the GF he was our form prop not able to get a look in for the first NZ game yet after missing 4 weeks he has secured a spot in the 17 after a strong showing vs Sydney.

The Tony Carroll selection is being bagged, why? He has been in sparkling form with the ball and in defence for Brisbane this season and pleeeeaaaaaasssssssseeeeeee, move on from the farcial selection policy which allowed him to represent NZ in 2000 and Australian in 2004/05. Right or wrong, he is in the same representing the green and gold in which he will as per usual play well.

Australia will win this game comfortably and Wayne Bennett's team is justified once more!

From Friday's Test match vs NZ, you will find the majority of the players representing their country will back up on the weekend to play for their club unless their are injury concerns. Part and parcel of being a representative player.

As for Brisbane, we will have Lockyer, Civoniceva, Carroll and Berrigan backing up whilst Cronulla have Kimmorley and Vagana. One possible positive is that players who play in rep matches generally feel that backing up for their club ASAP is alot better on them than say waiting to play the Sunday or even Monday as is the case this long weekend.

BTW, Brisbane are playing Cronulla on Saturday night at Toyota park. ;-)

If Lockyer doesn't back up after the Test, we may get our first sight of Berrick Barnes in first grade. I've heard people talk him up, including Wayne Bennett, but haven't seen him play yet.
