Australian version of the show The Contender?

I heard on the radio today that they are planing on making an aussie version of the boxing reality show The Contender. Has anyone else heard this and if so when will it start and what channel will it air on?

yeah, it's been floating about for a while. looks likely to be on FOX. bit of controversy over who they have selected as "contenders" as the winner gets a bout versus Mundine. a few blokes claim that Mundine doesn't want to face them therefore they weren't selected. another rumour I have heard is that they would hold the final fight between the two contenders as a PPV, followed by the Mundine fight as a PPV as well.

That claim was rubbished by Mundine's manager, Khoder Nasser, yesterday. "If we ran the show we would have had Sakio Bika in the ring two years ago," Nasser said.
