Id they'd announced in early October it would not be an election issue. 5 months is a long time for the public to move on to the next issue.
we shall see, lets hope so.
Don't worry. Really

f**k you’re a loser cob. Always loser obsessed loser as always.Toxic Bear can guarantee it so nothing to see here people, move along.
Liberals and nationals are a mess, they’ve got no chance. I’m more worried about what cook feels he has to say now he’s backed in a corner and what impact that has for the club in the future.Ok … Ive just had a check of the betting odds …
Labor 1.01
Not even the NRL can f**k this up..
Maybe but winning an election and being head of a state is more important to a premier I guess, you know with it being his job and all. Whilst that is happening NRL have a lot more to focus on than just WA. Lots of moving parts.if they are all so chummy with each other … maybe they should have got the deal worked out months ago ..
You’re an absolute loser bro, seriously you’re clearly jealous of red&blackbear that you can’t help looking like a twat. Alwaysloser, has nothing in life but this forum and is obsessed over posters. Always loser!Toxic Bear has never been more certain of something since 2007 when the Bears came into the NRL instead of the Gold Coast.

Anyways take it for what you will. There’s reasons people request NDA’s during negotiations and in this instance it was to avoid the issue becoming an election one.
You make a good point, hard to argue.PNG and Perth bid process have leaked like a sieve to News Ltd ….. and the NRL have been pretty arrogant throughout… they haven’t exactly covered themselves in glory … let’s hope the teams actually turn out better than the clown shows which have given birth to them

It’s not a license fee in any sense. It’s money to support and help grow rugby league in the state via infrastructure upgrades for fields, facilities and to further develop junior pathways both in schools and in junior club level. That’s always been the case, nothing has changed.NRL wasn't asking for $120 million fee from bidders. Is that real figure?!

I've emailed the office of David Templeman to tell him to stop having coffee with the English fella because he's spilling confidential government discussions on a forum.Hes not running again for his seat so dont expect I'll hear from him again on this. Hes been 100% accurate on everything hes told me over the last 4 months. Played a big part in keeping this moving forward over the last 2 years so thank you for your efforts.
Why in the world would you split venues for magic weekend? They aren't going to drop revenue from Suncorp to go to a shanty town out west for a town that doesn't get league. It'll always be in Brisbane, Sydney or Auckland. This Govt is big into sports tourism, wouldn't surprise me if they aren't trying to wheel and deal some other stuff alongside the Bears License like test matches and magic weekend into the future. With a 27k HBF you could hold MW at both HBF and Optus over the three days.
But the consortium in October was flawed and was thusly rejected. Why do you keep hedging on this? Do you have shares in Cash Converters? And here come the politics. As I said, and you mocked, if deal was done in October we wouldn’t now have it at risk. Vlandys will have a lot to answer for if this falls over.
Hopefully it’s just political posturing after the libs dragged it into the spotlight.
anyone able to post this?
Huge $320m price tag for Perth NRL team a ‘deal killer
Premier Roger Cook has labelled the $320 million price tag for WA to get its own rugby league team as ‘fanciful’, warning demands by NRL boss Peter V’landys risked ‘killing’ the Western Bears deal.thewest.com.au
wrong guess lolI've emailed the office of David Templeman to tell him to stop having coffee with the English fella because he's spilling confidential government discussions on a forum.
You know what at this stage I hope the WA Bears collapses. The NRL shifts focus to Christchurch Bears (the Canterbury rugby region already plays in red and black), they're opening a new boutique stadium soon and they have ample training facilities. Ready made rivalry with the Warriors and easier flight times. Perth can keep their glory, their fumble ball and stay out
