never seen either of them bowl but Hazlewood will probably be better than both of them

I have hard a few people rate Cockley, he is a bit wayward so he can go for quite a few runs but also can take wickets.

Mckay I thought was 1.94m, anyway he has come along nicely and has hit some real good form of late. Could well do the Clark/McGrath role we need.

When McKay first came on the scene a few years ago he didn't look all that good. I'm surprised he is only 25, he has certainly improved a hell of a lot this season. Apart from struggling in the T20s he has been one of the better bowlers for the Vics this summer and is more than handy with the bat.

I saw Cockley in the Shield game on Monday and he didn't look too threatening, most of his wickets were the lower order and with the 2nd new ball. Still young with plenty of time to come on.

Cockley mus have alot of promise. Has signed with King's XI Punjab in the IPL so they obviously see something in him. I might be biased in saying this but He's a Newcastle boy too. Go Burt.

Ben Laughlin is another who could have an impact, in the one day form anyways. McKay is pretty pedestrian, really, but is accurate and could have a solid ODI career if he got there. Haven't seem much of Cockley or Hazelwood...

I don't think it's in Australia's best interests to have Victorians in the side

In the Sydney Grade comp , cockley is rated very highly by the players and from what ive heard the best bowler in the comp.

Last year against Gordon he made two guys rretire hurt. Meant to be very quick.

Have never seen him bowl though.

Josh Lalor is another quick bowler to watch from the Sydney Grade comp. Has a NSW rookie contract.

ODI's are where those slow on the spot bowlers get smashed, can occassionally pick up wickets as well but more likely to get carted. Clark should not play ODIs either

McKay is much better with the red ball than the white

I'll have to take your word for it, I've probably seen him with the red ball once. I think he could be a decent ODI bowler because even though he's not that quick he seems very accurate. He could play the same role that James Hopes has been playing for us with the ball, 8-10 overs for about 4 an over and snagging a wicket or two....wouldn't be my first choice but he'd make a decent go of it if called on
