What a run by the Prince! First up since the cup, 4 wide the trip in a slowly run race, came 8 wide round the turn and charged home beaten a long neck

Weir is a freak

Alplod Eagle is shot imo, did nothing. Had massive hopes for this horse thought it one right out of the box.

Was on it EW for a nice collect, had the gun run and another 50m and it wins. It's a better horse than we think.

I've actually always liked the horse, had some good wins on him in his first couple of preps.

Never in a million years would I think it would win a MC though

That run was f*cking outstanding though, absolutely massive.. only good horses can do that.

Weir is flying - big statement but him and Waller could be the new TJ and Bart... just dominate Aus racing for the next decade.

I just came on to post this :)

Beaded was one my favourite mares ever, she was tiny but had a massive heart. I remember I absolutely loaded up on her one day in Melbourne in a Grp 3 I think it was, they opened her 7s on the Wednesday and Lemon just opened the cheque book, started 2.50 or something and duly saluted

I think they named it after Weller Hauraki, the other Parra boys might remember him. Looked like Tarzan played like Jane.

Bezel looked like he was going backwards near the turn, got going the last 200m and just missed the winner, good debut.
