I’m the captain coach of the Fireburn fan club but yeh the draw is horrible for it. Would of almost preferred it drew the car park…. Going to need a Brenton special and he hasn’t pulled one out since 1997

Maths isn’t my strong point but I make it out to be 7 starts within 8 weeks. The first start of the run was a Class2 Highway. Hasn’t had a spell since September

If the track is actually a heavy 8 or worse it is a chance. Any drier and it’s back to highways where it will carry 85kgs now.

it has flippers that thing. Not since the great galactic valley has there been a horse that was a group 2 horse on a bog and a class 2 horse on the dry.

I still remember that merkin winning on a heavy track in an Apollo or something like that. making horses like might and power (kicking off his Caulfield/Mac double prep) yippyio (after he won the qld derby - pre travel sickness) marble halls etc look like 2nd stringers by barnstorming from the tail.

Fair point but 6s at the moment in a race of this depth is ridiculous
