All those Murdoch merkins whinging about the Australian Cup. It’s been robbed of a bit of quality (Right you are) and a bit of comedy (Meow’unga) but the field has a lot of decent horses in it. Group 1 WFA and handicap winners, an Oaks winner, some up and coming 3yos. I’ve seen worse Group 1 fields than this one. Intriguing affair.

FWIW I like Emissary

Virtuous Circle had good form in the Spring too. Hasn’t done much wrong.

I’m a big Pavitra fan (Kah slaughtered it in the Oaks imo) but Prowess is the first Kiwi horse I’ve taken seriously in a long time. It’s usually an easy black line but it’s form is impressive.
