Back of Johnny...he's good in position!

So many people have bagged John Morris but so many of his alleged "issues" have come from using him incorrectly!

He's not a halfback and will never be one. He's a strong 5/8 (as opposed to a freakish, fast 5/8) or a tough hooker (as opposed to a smart, wiley hooker).

For mine, he's best used as a super-sub (ie. coming off the bench). His defence in general has been superb in the latter half of the season. He is really good in middle-of-the-park tackles. He may not be fast but he's committed and keeps playing whether we're winning or losing a match (unlike some of our other, more praised players).

He's not abandoning us. He wasn't renewed because we bought him to be a halfback that he isn't and now we've got Benji back at 5/8 that doesn't leave much choice.

I'm happy to see him on the bench for the rest of the season (interchange that is, not cutting oranges and handing out Gatorade!).

I reckon he`d be a very good lock in the right environment. His strength is that he`ll give you everything for 80mins and is never far from the football, but to play him lock you`d need a strong running pack of forwards who wouldn`t rely on him to any metre eating hit ups. Doesn`t play all that indifferently to Dallas Johnson really.

theres one thing u cant take away from him, his effort.

he tries really hard, which is more than we can say about s few others, although these last several weeks they havnt been too bad.

As i said in another post, wouldnt mind seeing him play some hooker and having Farah come off the bench. hes looked a little tired of late and could do with the lesser game time.

He will be a big sucess at sharkys if he stays at 9...... at 6/7 he stifles the attack- so many times he should give it but doesn't. But that's not his fault he is not a 6 or 7...

Johnny had a blinder in the dismantling of the Bulldogs. Superb two-man cut-out ball for that try.

He's probably going to do a "Bronson" when he goes to the Sharks and become a hot buy! Even Collis was solid on Friday night.

Collis can be a great player, but is one of the most injury prone players i have seen.
Morris wasn't as bad as made out, but certainly wasn't a playmaker.

Nullas should use him at lock.

Yeah, f**k Morris. I got sick to death of watching him murder us week-in week-out. I hated reading that he was at 7 when it was patently obvious he wasn't a 7's arsehole. He had input on that as well as Sheens.
