If Gilchrist was to break his arm for example, who would be the next best keeper
Is it still Haddin

Based on Keeping ability, it should be Hartley, but on alround ability, hard to go past Paine.

edit: not including Haddin obviously.

Looks like a real talent to, if he could be more consistent I'd have him as keeper in both forms.

haddin would be next in line in the immediate future, but tim paine looks like the long term replacement. actually australia are pretty lucky in the keeping department at ATM.

Crosthewaithe is rubbish. He is a rubbish Hartley. A traditional keeper that can't bat well really!

Haddin by the length of the straight. Then daylight, then Paine.

However, if you'll all recall, this is the third 'next big superstar keeper' Tassie have had in as many years. How are Sean Clingleffer and David Dawson doing these days?

I don't remember Clingeffer ever being touted as the next big thing. He was always just a "solid keeper" and still is!

Haddin has a F/C batting average of 39.2. Pretty impressive for a keeper. It sucks that he is already 29 though. Wouldn't it be great if we had someone slightly younger with the same ability to take over from Gilly?

When does everyone think Gilly will retire?
