Bailey is a waste of space

Your right in what your saying Hulka but the problem I have with Bailey is he gives away stupid penalties each week and when ever he plays out wide he comes up with the wrong option more times than not and thats when Noddy and Peach are playing let alone now.

Bailey is a deadset idiot.. He single handedly cost us the game.. You can say that if people learnt how to tackle it wouldnt have gotten to that, but thats the kind of thing that happens in the game, and we had the chance to make up for it and thanks to Bailey we blew it..

we blew it..

yes WE, meaning the team. come on it was stupid, but it didnt cost us the game. why couldnt the whole team in the next set put in a good defensive effort? to blame it all on bailey is just stupid.

Thats why i said 'We.' Yes we should have put in a good defensive set, but we wouldnt have had to be defending if Bailey throws the ball..

We should have been running the ball back at them after scoring a try not Defending Warren.

well it didnt happen, ad obviously sulking wasnt going to win us the game. they should have moved on and tried again.

Bailey is not a waste of space.
He should not be in no 13, he should not be on as long as he is, but he would be in my side.
He is not the smartest player, but 37 points against suggests yet again our overall defence is not up to it.
26 points should be enough to win a game.
I am a fan of Stuey, but geez I would use that bench differently.
When is Saleh back from injury? I would still have him on the left wing.
Anyone see PL? How did Mellars go?

Not quite as simple as that.

I got the feeling that the team really didn't believe they could win. That try would have re-inforced the possibility that we could win - and maybe these young blokes would have. Bombing such a gimme try through selfishnes just deflated the team. Up to that point in the second half, we had the Dogs under the hammer. From that point they "knew" they were going win it, and we had no more attacking opportunities.

If Noddy, or Peach, or most of the other players had done this I'd have been angry/p*ssed off/frustrated. But after a while I'd have thought "He took the wrong option. Bummer, but it happens". What really gets me about this is that Bailey wasn't taking " a wrong option" - he was taking the Phil Bailey option. Everything is bout Phil Bailey and f**k everyone else.

There was a thread some weeks ago about who was the most disappointing player this year. Some people named Vagana. Since then I've watched 3 different games on tape. And what you see on everyone is the ball coming along the line, gets to Bailey, and it goes to ground. He doesn't look like passing it.

And that's what happened today: he saw the line and just went for it. When it bleeding obvious the he wasn't going to score, then he tried to pass it.

Can we swap him for Dykes (mutual release)?

Bailey is ok, but needs to be relegated to the bench so he'll finally come back to earth. There were numerous errors today that can be argued as costing us the game. Bailey's rise into the Australian squad courtesy of Anderson was the worst thing that could have happened to him.

You're all over reacting.

Bailey cost us a try. I'm even willing to concede that turn of events could have cost us the game. But it shouldn't have come to that. The game shouldn't have been resting on that occasion. I agree, its frustrating that the option wasn't taken, but you can't call a lynch mob on a player for that.

It's happened to plenty of players, plenty of times. And it will happen again. Be objective people: acknowledge that you're frustrated that we lost, but understand the real reason why.

Bailey is a HANDFUL for opposing teams on the fringe. You cannot deny that. Offensively he is very dangerous, but he needs to be a smarter footballer. And that's Stuey's job.

What I'd like to see, personally, is some second man play involving Bailey to give the o/s backs some more space. There's too much catch and pass and too much reliance on second phase IMO. That's fantastic when it works, but can be glaring when it doesn't. Of course, missing Kimmorley has a lot to do with that. Honestly, I got frustrated with Bails, I screamed and threw bottle tops at the tele but seriously folks, calling for his head?

It's immature, subjective and wrong.

I will go against the grain here and back Bailey. He has a go all game long. He needs to be back in second row going forward and standing tall when he hits the line.

I love the fact he hates losing, and that he tries his guts out. Yes, his error in not passing sooner today was costly, but many players have made errors this year to date.

Yeah, exactly - or playing his position instead of dogging it in the centres, all day every day like the big cat that he knows he is

Lolesi and hulka youre a pack of cats too. Bailey singlehandedly cost us that game (with a minor assist from Vagana) and for that he should be BOOTED.

What's disgraceful is Phil Bailey's butchering of a certain try.

Some may say that we shouldnt have been in a position whereby it even mattered, however that fact is that we WERE in that position and had he thrown that simple pass and we score, we're in the box seat to win the match with the wind at our backs.
